"...somewhere, in the vaults of a bank in London, is a tin dispatch box with my name on it..."

--Dr. John H. Watson, The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes

Hello and welcome to dispatch_box, the LJ community for all things pertaining to Sherlock Holmes fanfiction!

We encourage you to visit our sister community, 221b_bakerst, for in-depth discussion of the canon works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and popular pastiches derived from these 'singular' writings. We thank the Irregulars for their invaluable assistance in creating this community!

The members of dispatch_box are all encouraged to post liberally, to praise shamelessly, and to criticize constructively.

To get the biggest feedback bang for your buck (or Euro), you also may want to consider cross-posting to the following communities:

Slash (m/m pairings): cox_and_co, rarelitslash
Laurie R. King's Mary Russell: dammit_holmes
Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century: (I confess I don't know of any; please email me if you do!)
