Abstract A description is given of Mn-Mg-rich members of the ilmenite series from the serpentinized wehrlite from Ensilä, Kuhmo greenstone belt, Finland. Microprobe analyses give a composition of Il17He1Py53Ge29 for the Mn-Mg-richest ilmenite
