Forty years ago I was building what you’re building. Partner at Arthur Andersen. Then I opened and ran a trust company office that grew to nearly a billion dollars. Then CFO and COO of an oil company. I know what it feels like to carry the weight of a business — the decisions, the people, the relentlessness of it.

what TRANSFORMATION LOOKS LIKE

Jack built a large family business with his brother. Founder, CEO, father, husband. When we met, he was drowning.

Conflict visible to everyone. Challenges with the next generation. Performance issues. Relationship problems. Stressed, worried, carrying constant negative emotions. He bore it well on the outside, but inside he was exhausted.

The person who introduced us said it perfectly: “You take care of your customers, your employees, your kids, your wife, your friends. Here’s someone who is going to teach you how to take care of you.” Six months in, I asked him: “What’s most important for us to work on now?”
