True drabbles are exactly 100 words; no more, no less. Your challenge is to write a drabble for each prompt of the table you choose. Most of the tables have 50 words, however, if you are extremely ambitious you can go for the ultimate challenge of trying to use one of the Super Tables, which are basically just ten of the regular tables smushed together.
Unlike many writing challenges, we DO NOT use 'writer's choice' prompts. First of all, it wouldn't be much of a challenge if you got to pick your own prompt, would it? Second, it would just be us being lazy. Hmm... two more words... eh, just toss in some writer's choice. Nope, not doing that.
The Rules
Number One
First, you have to join. That's the easy part.
Number Two
Fill out the information for your claim and post that information here. More than one person can have the same claim, so no worries on looking to see if someone else already grabbed your OTP. You can also write your own original non-fandom stuff, or even write drabble-poems. We're pretty open on how you want to design that part of the challenge for yourself.
You can start writing and posting as soon as you do that, however, you will need to go back later and add the TAG we have for you if you start posting before you receive your approval message.
Number Three
Posts to this community should be for posting drabbles you have written for this challenge only. The community moderators may end up posting other announcements, but we get to do that because this is our group. So, nyah.
Number Four
Writer's love feedback on their works. Giving feedback is great. Giving constructive crit is good, too, however, there is a difference between making recommendations and being mean. Don't be mean. On the flip-side, if you're a writer, expect that you'll get some comments that say 'this is great!' and some that say 'I think you should consider...'. Don't get pissed because someone is trying to help you. Writer's need to be able to take the good and the bad in order to improve their writing... we just want to avoid seeing the ugly on the this list. Anyone who comments just to be mean, you'll be banned plenty quickly.
Number Five
You can only work on one table at a time. This is to keep from having an author start multiple tables, and leave a bunch unfinished. Once you finish a table, you can immediately start another.
Number Six
Always use the following header when you post.
Series Name:
Author:
Fandom or Original:
Character(s):
Challenge Table:
Prompt Word(s):
Rating:
Summary (optional):
Disclaimer:
Except for the header info, the rest of the post should be under an LJ cut.
Number Seven
When you make your original request, use the subject "Less Filling, Great Taste" so that we know you read through all of these rules.
