I'd been getting pretty bored with how my Buell looked lately. I had put on a set of pre production turn signals that were a bit triangular in shape but cool for the times and now they were looking tired and worn out. Not to mention they had lost their ground and stoped working about a year ago.

So I had a set of sexy teardrop shaped turn signals from a Japanese company called Daytona. But they did not have mounts with them, seems the japanese bikes are so varied that they sell the particular mounts you need seperately. These were samples and didnt come with the mounts, 4 ot 5 emails to Daytona yeilded no response (even though they ARE a vender of ours) so I took matters into my own paws as it were.

I had a set of mounts drawn up in Enginering from my own idea and had the shop machine them out, I love my job somedays.

I then spent all yesterday mounting them, the fronts were easy, just move the headlight out of the way then put it back. The tail section has a fender eliminator kit on it and has mounts up in an area that a mouse could barely put his paw, and I'm a big burly bobkat! So I did the deed and wrestled with the mounts but got everything back together and working. Go me!

Then on my ride to the gym last night, the speedo goes out, the tail light goes out and the turn signals stop working. Blew a fuse dern it, means I screwed something up. Take it apart this morning and find the 12v lead to the tail light squashed under a washer and grounding out. Wore through the plastic wire coating with the bike vibration so it didnt show right away. Oh well, wire in some new leads and get a new fuse.

I just hate doing shit twice, Becuase I had a finate amount of time during lunch I rushed it. Wont do that again!

Working out again, YAY!!

I'm a fat slob, I admit it. If I could do nothing and get away with it I would. Because of my shoulder I had not been able to get to my gym in a month and it showed. I had gained WAY too much weight and was feeling pretty piss pour about it so I started back up last Monday. The first day was a bit tough of course as with any exercise plan, the starting is the hardest part. But CopperCheetah kept me in line and encouraged me through it.

Yesterday I had a bit of steam built up because of the whole turn signal lighting fiasco. So my punching bag stations had a bit of umph behind them. One of the guys who runs the place said "Comon Dusty, I know you can hit harder than that." Thats all it took, for the 30 second station I tried to knock the bag stand out of the ground. When I was done, he just looked at me with wide eyes and a look like "Oooookay then..."

CopperCheetah said he hand not seen anyone hit that hard in the whole time he had been going to "The Blitz" Felt pretty good, who knows what i could do if I was actually IN shape.

BTW, Weight is in the 250's when I was 235 about a year ago. This will change, and it will change in a hurry if I have anything to say about it.
