Hrrrmmm, TMI?
Easy rider

Sometimes there are things I want to talk about or type out that would be TMI to most people. As some of my friends have started TMI lists I was thinking I'd start one too. Most of it would be ranting about work, or relationship, or sexual in nature. If you want to be on the list let me know here.

Some of you who ask wont be put on if I dont know you very well, so dont get all in an uproar, K?

Just got ANOTHER memo from the CEO's desk.

They are coming around and taking all the color printers off the desks that have them (I do have one BTW)
AND I.T. came around to look at our lazer printer (The last printer IN R&D) and told us that it too was going away.

They are all going either back to the vender or being sold off.

Also NO expense for the ENTIRE WORLD WIDE corporation will be paid unless it has an APPROVED P.O. first.

I guess getting gas for the R&D bikes is gonna be a bit more convoluted.

We are also selling off our fleet of bikes.

Anybody need a project manager? 6 years experiance...

Easter weekend

Started as usual for me lately with a full day of selling people what they want, MOTORCYCLES! Well I tried at least. I sold two units, a 4x4 quad and a used DRZ400 that has been laying around for like 5 months. I also took an order for a Kawasaki KX65 mini race bike. That we did not have in stock but he left a 10% deposit on one for pick up in mid May.

After work Jay took me to the last Laccrose game of the season, It was fan apreciation night with lots of prizes, though we did not win any. We did get a set of beer mugs with the team logo on them for being season ticket holders.

Sunday we picked up Jay's mom and I drove us up to Berkley so that they could have a family easter get together. they played Shanghi, which is a card game, while I tried very hard not to be bored. Watched Narnia, Wallace and Gromet, curse of the were-rabbit and Disney's Robing Hood all before they finnaly finished playing cards and we left. They did have a nice food spread and I ate too much, of course I always do when I'm bored and little trays of, well everything, are within paws reach. How the hell have I become so weak when it comes to food.

I did not get the dirt bike finished and wont tonight either as the last Sharks game of the regular season is tonight. I'll finish off the bike Tuesday after work, then take it into custom chrome so I can finish tuning it for the weekend. I'll be gone racing from Friday after work thru Sunday afternoon. Saturday being my Birthday so we'll do something next week I'm sure.

This is Angst, just checking in to see how your doing..

Today is an Angst fest.

Exhaust system pieces showed up today from our manufacturer finally. They were supposed to be here on Friday but someone was not told to ship them overnight.

There were too many pieces, extra brackets....when I called them they tell me, "Oh, we put that in there as an upgrade, tell us which one you like." I told them to put a frigging COVER LETTER in the box telling me this shit. HOW MANY TIME DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT!!!! I lost count at I think 5,678.

The weekend saw more craptasticular house improvements. I installed a new light fixture in the downstairs bathroom, then went to install the new faucet. Of course the old one had been in there since 1982 and the rubber holding the water feed lines was not going to give up it's grip on life. So the feed lines broke off. To fix it you have to turn the water off to the Condo. The little lever that does that is frozen into the ON position so the complex manager is going to have that fixed. All I wanted to do was install a damn faucet! THE BATHROOM WILL BE DONE WHEN HE FAUCET IS DONE!!! IT WILL NEVER END!!!

Work on Saturday was a real downer. Rain in the morning kept people away and 8 salesman on the floor just made what few people that did come in way nervous. I left early for the first time since starting there. At 3 pm we had not seen a soul in an hour.

I rode the bike to work today, it was a very nice day and I had not ridden the street bike in what seemed like 3 months. I just checked my lunch that I packed and I forgot a spoon for my soup and fruit cocktail. And with the cafateria now closed for budget constraits I cannot just go and pick one up. And I'll be damned if I'm going to suit up and ride my bike to go buy a f'kin plastic spoon!

Tonight is the big relationship meeting with the "life coach" and I'm all tense about that too.

Things that went well last weekend, I finnaly got to clean my bike from the last race. I also installed new brake pads, I got to do this because I got up EARLY Sunday morning while the other half slept the morning away. I recieved the race pictures I bought and had Tugrik scan them for me, as you can see in my other post.

Random bits of brain matter

Sold a bike on Saturday. one, single bike *sigh* Felt like I was wasting my time with all the new sales people these guys hired. There is litteraly more sales guys on the floor than customers all day.

The one I did sell, I delivered to the nice lady in Morgan Hill as she had no way to get it home. The apreciation she showed was worth it.

Jay and I went to the San Jose Stealth Pro Lacrosse game Saturday night. Even as exciting as it was with a sudden death overtime win for the stealth I felt it hard to get into the game having never played it. I'm not saying I had a bad time going, just that I didnt get as jacked up as I would for a football or hockey game.

Sunday was spent cleaning after a quick trip to Target for needed supplies. Jay did the upstairs bathroom, I spent 2 hours on the kitchen and we tag teamed the bedroom. Still have the front room to do but shouldnt take long with two people hitting it. Sunday evening we went with Jay's mom to Olive Garden. I'm about to give up on that place. We arrived at 5:15 in the afternoon and STILL had to wait 20 minutes for a table. That is rediculous, when I go to a resturant I go there to eat, not sit on my ass and watch other people eating.

Sunday night Jay had hockey games so I went to Tugrik's place and finished a little metal shop project that we should have done a month ago. But no worries as the owner of said project was still happy to get their part repaired.

Monday was a Monday, I got 6 gas tanks in from our warehouse for a check of their welding. After cutting two up like a pizza the answer was plain. Welds did not have suffecent penetration causeing weak spots that would be exsaperated by the vender grinding on the welds to clean them up. Same tank I've fought a fitment issue on for a couple of years. I just want to go to Taiwan and neat this vender with a basball bat.

Monday night I went to the gym, boy did I need it. pounding heavy bags is kinda soothing when you have so much flying around in your head. I'm still not loosing a lot of weight as I cant get to the gym as regularly as I'd like because of life in general. But I'm not gaining any and that is good too.

Looks like I'm going to race on April 2nd after all. Race is at the same track I just raced at last time in Madera. If anyone wants directions, let me know.

Taxes are also done, this time I had someone else do them. I got my withholding right as the Feds owe me 35 bucks. The state is forking over 500! So I'll have some spending cash for the Disney trip on the 6th through the 9th of April, WOOT!!

End O the week
Easy rider

Toughest week I've had in a while. Between relationship stuff and money issues, Work also stated throwing split finger fast balls at me.

The money issue was my own dumb fault, not loging some transfers made me think I had more money than I did so I sent it out to bills. Lucky for me I had enough in my savings account to cover and no fees were incured. But it does leave me a bit ouchy until I get the next paycheck.

Just when I think I have work under control, an exhaust system shows up that was SUPPOSED to fit a certain bike kit that needs to get shipped real soon, and it doesnt fit. This bike kit in question has one of those really wide tires on the back, and the manufacturer make it for more narrow bikes when I ASKED THEM SPECIFICLY to make SURE it fit all the kit bikes. *sigh* So I have been chasing my tail on that issue. The a different exhaust fitment ALSO goes wrong and a new bracket needs to be made and shipped back tot he manufactuer today (same guys).

Going to spend Sunday doing Spring Cleaning(tm) Satuday is work at the honda shop selling bikes and Saturday night is a profesional Lacross game at the Shark Tank as Jay has season tickets to the San Jose Stealth. I'm not sure what we are doing tonight..

If you had me alone...locked up in your house for twenty-four hours and I had to do whatever you wanted me to, what would you do with me? All replies will be permanently screened because it's a secret. Then repost this in your LJ.

You might be surprised with the responses you get.

On the subject of books
Easy rider
dustykat
I've had it in my head to maybe open up a used book store. My uncle has 2 of them and he is pretty well off.

His main way of doing it is all paperbacks, buy for 1/4 cover price and sell for 1/2 cover price no mater what they are. He buys up book collections and puts them on the shelf. I think he has 3 or 4 whole collections of the harlequin novels.

I just need something else at this point. I have come to the realization that what I do now will never let me live comfortablely in the future.

I have contacted him for his councel on this and await his teachings. Anyone have an opinion on this course of action?

I'm sore, my back hurts, my neck hurts and I have a lsight headache. I HATE flying west, you lose too much time.

BUT I also did something this trip I havent done in a long time..

I read a book.

I know, I know....I should read more than those tech manuals I need to read for work. So on a suggestion I picked up the first book of the "Redwall" series by Brian Jacques. It has been around for an awful long time and I'm not sure why I didnt pick it up before other than being a lazy slob.

Before the week was over, I'd bought the first 5 books and have 3 completely read! I kept going to the borders books around the corner and buying the next one as they had the nice large format paperbacks by firebird press.

I have a feeling I'll have read them all by the summer. Thats like 14 books! Yea, I'm hooked. Just checked out the redwall.org page and found animations and all sorts of fun stuff to get into.
