things have changed

elaynaThings have changed so much in my life, and sometimes it feels like we're backsliding (or more accurately, that repressive people are trying to force us back), and I wonder how much we've really changed, that those forces sometimes seem to be making their mark, and it stresses me out...
And then an acapella band I follow, one that does a lot a lot of country songs, and they're covering a Shania Twain song, and I think, okay, next line is where they change the lyric to account for the fact that the singer is a male rather than a female...and they don't. Good for them! Also, they make a very cute couple.
PS. I’m told they are indeed a couple in RL. Too sweet!

Date: 2026-10-22 07:58 pm (UTC)They've always been supportive of gay and trans friends and fans, but now they actually have a gay guy in the group, they don't see why his relationship should be treated any differently than that of their other spouses who have appeared in their videos from time to time.
