10:33 am - A Feast for our Imladris visitors

oroelenelrond
Thranduil moved into the main hall of his palace, Aduial on his arm. He looked around at those who scurried about upon his arrival and sighed. Far too often he had been a difficult task master and it showed in the combination of respect and fear on his people's faces.

He called to one of them and told him that he wished to hold a feast for the visitors this evening. "It does not require terribly fancy dishes, but only what we can provide easily. However, you may break out some of my better wines for our guests. And ask the bards if they would be so kind as to provide some entertainment for us."

With a gentle hand on the Elf's shoulder, he stopped him. "And tell them all I plan on traveling to Imladris with Glorfindel and the Lady Celebrian. Relations between us must improve," he told him. "I would have my people know what I do, I do for them, not for myself. At times I may seem selfish, but 'tis not what I intend." He laughed softly, then released the nervous looking Elf. "Go now and have them make the preparations."

11:51 pm - Searching for Eowyn

aragorn007
Aragorn joined the group of Imladris Elves gathered for a search party. They had armed themselves and waited for him and Eomer. He showed them the place where Eowyn had been last seen and introduced her brother to those he had known his entire life. If any could find the young Rohirrhim Lady, this group could.

The party of twenty would make short work of the search, but what they faced, only Illuvatar knew.

11:56 am - Getting across the bridge

legolas_n_sael
I know that my new found friends suspect the elementals of foul play because they have left. I look at Elladan, as Rumil has already begun to cross the bridge. "They are earth and water elementals," I tell him simply in a quiet voice. "They can find ways unbeknownst to use to get out of here, because they must travel through another dimension to get back to their own world. They are having a seasonal change where they come from, and will be back with us later. Though I think, mayhaps, we may be meeting a new one when they return to us. They cannot get us out of here because we are in physical bodies. We cannot meld with the earth and become one with the water as they can. There is no way that they can get us out of here. We must find our own way out."

I reach down and grab a very large rat that is scurrying by, handing it to Elladan. The rat does not resist my touch and seems eager to be held by us, exploring a new way of life with other creatures. "Elladan, these creatures are very intelligent. They are here for a reason, and I have found it. I know that it goes against our very nature as elves to do this, but you must send the rat ahead of you. Illuvatar has put them here for a purpose and they are serving it." I hand the rat to him. "We are not so different after all, you and I. Perhaps there can be a peace between Mirkwood and Imladris one day. I hope that I live to see that day."

I pat the Imladris elf gently on the shoulder. "Go now. Send the rat ahead of you and block his path back from the bridge."

I am doing my best to get us all across the bridge with the huge dragon below. I only hope that the dragon does not decide to switch the pattern on us before we have all gotten acrosst. I see Rumil make it safely to the other side and breathe a sigh of relief. Here we go. The rat should be the dragon's next meal.

12:58 am - Traveling toward the enemy

legolas_n_sael
My best friend and prince, our first archer, whom is like a sister to me, and two new companions we just met are traveling to Imladris. This was my idea, I must admit, though I can easily see that Prince Legolas and Threndel are just as excited to be going there to enemy territory as I am. For my part, I wish to learn what the Imladris healers know. They heal quickly with magic, and some of them have been known to be able to heal the heart, mind, and soul, as well as the body. I have heard of these fabled healers and wish to see if such a thing can be possible... if so, then I wish to learn their secrets... without letting them know what I am up to if need be. Our healers here in Mirkwood know only rudimentary skills.. herbalism and such... I cannot just stand by and watch our enemies doing better than we are. I am glad that King Oropher has decided to let us go.

I know why our new companions, Lemroc and his sister, Welestra come with us. The maps show that the land and the water there in Imladris are equals to one another, with an abundance of both. Our new companions will find much peace and happiness there. I also hear that Imladris is a sanctuary. I wish to see how this is so and possibly help to make our kingdom as great.

As for Legolas and Threndel, I cannot say what drives them to join me on this mission. I know that I specifically asked Legolas to come with me and he was more than eager to say yes. I do not know if this is out of simple friendship, or perhaps a desire to see whether or not the rumors of the enemy are true. I think the latter for his part. As for our first archer, Threndel, she would join us anywhere we went for the simple fact of the adventure and excitement that she might find along the way. That child is a trouble maker and has already injured the prince... which Lemroc was able to use another sort of magical healing to reverse, for which I am grateful. He is a very sensitive creature and I shall let no harm come to him.

All that is left to think of now is what we may or may not run into along our journey toward the enemy camp. I wonder what sort of hospitality they have, if any, and whether or not we might be turned away as common beggars. We shall see. If the latter turns out to be true, then King's Oropher and Thranduil will be most unpleased with our findings and will most likely want to get some sort of revenge on them. I hope, for everyone's sake, that the people of Imladris have some common sense.
