Yo @Capankajsmilyo: I've put my comments here below. Ping me when you get a chance to fix them, yeah? As per usual, you have seven days. Have a great day! Sincerely, Jishara (talk) 17:08, 13 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Yo @Capankajsmilyo: followup ping - it's now been 11 days with no response. I really need you to get back to me as soon as possible. Jishara (talk) 21:47, 24 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Jishara: I've been improving the article as per your suggestions. You can have a look to see if there's anything I might have missed on. It's been a while after which iv returned on Wikipedia editing so I might not be that good. Any and every help and guidance will be appreciated. Thanks Capankajsmilyo (talk) 04:41, 25 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Sounds good - I'll take a look and get back to you soon Jishara (talk) 04:48, 25 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Capankajsmilyo: Still a bit of source pileups - a few spots where four sources are used for one sentence. Some sections are awkwardly worded, specifically the Teachings and Philosophies section and the Historicity section - would you potentially be able to try to rewrite it to be a bit more smooth-sounding? There's also a definite overuse of words that inflate importance and some sections that have things that need to be credited - for example, which people posited scandinavian connections? who says it was a deliberate attempt? such as who remains cautious? after these updates are done i'll do my spotcheck Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 22:14, 4 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I have fixed the issues. If any further fixing is required, do let me know. Capankajsmilyo (talk) 02:10, 6 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Great! Just a few more before spot-check - "Earlier 20th-century theories" by who? "While traditional universal histories locate his birth in the Gangetic plains, the entirety of his ascetic life—his renunciation, his attainment of omniscience, and his ultimate liberation ()—is geographically anchored to the peaks of Girnar in the Saurashtra region of modern-day Gujarat" according to who? "highlight how control over Neminatha's sacred geography was actively utilized by sectarian leaders to consolidate theological legitimacy, wealth, and regional influence in western India." said by who? "It is uniquely dedicated to Neminatha and preserves a massive, elaborately carved seated idol that is highly venerated in regional folklore." strong claim without attribution. "The heavily ornamented sanctum preserves three finely polished black stone images of , with Neminatha featured as one of the primary deities" extra words - does it need to say finely polished? "The inclusion of Neminatha in one of the primary shrines highlights the deep integration of his worship within the geographic epicenter of South Indian Jainism" fishy words that feel too excessive. "Academic scholars note that this narrative structure was a deliberate theological" such as? "This event shifted the focus of from a strictly ascetic vow to a universal moral duty that supersedes social and familial obligations" according to? etc etc. Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 05:25, 12 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Jishara I have simplified the whole of temples section. Please recheck as per your convinience. Capankajsmilyo (talk) 22:54, 16 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
There still seems to be A LOT of areas where statements are confidently made and attributed to unnamed academic scholars/historians/academics/etc. they all need attribution. Other things here as I'm going through just make very little sense all of which cited to sources I can't access - for example the bronze sculpture being a primary thing for art studies of the Gupta-era, despite being made after the Gupta era ended (it ended ~550CE, so halfway through the 6th century, and this piece was the 7th century), and other sculptures "depicting... them as cousins" (which, how? who asserts that that's why it is?) Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 14:13, 23 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Please check now. I have tried to clarify the scholar names. Capankajsmilyo (talk) 04:03, 27 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Grammatical things: "His parents are named as Samudravijaya and Shivadevi Jain epics, such as the Harivamsa Purana, utilize the dynamic between the two cousins to contrast Krishna's violent, worldly conquests with Neminatha's supreme spiritual asceticism", "His height is mentioned as 10 dhanusha", "Ugrasena is believed to be the king of Dvārakā and maternal grandfather of Krishna. He is believed to have heard animal cries as they were being slaughtered for the marriage feast" (I think you mean that Neminatha was believed to, but it reads like Ugrasena was believed to)
Attribution things: "He is believed to have become fond of animals in his early life due to being in a cattle-herding family" (believed by who?), "He is said to have lived 1,000 years" (is this in Jain sources or scholars analyzing the times he was said to have lived through?)
Needs more elaboration: "Prominent past lives include his existence as King Supratishtha, during which the soul engaged in intense asceticism" (who is this King, why does he matter, etc - we're lacking context here).
Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 11:43, 31 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I have tried resolving the mentioned points. Please check as per your convinience. Capankajsmilyo (talk) 16:33, 1 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Capankajsmilyo: more "believed" - anywhere that's said please add who it's believed by (tradition? a scholar or a group of them? something else?). I don't think you mean Shantinatha when you say that for the hymm, and was it 54 or 55 days? Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 19:11, 5 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
fixed all believed. please recheck and confirm as per your convinience. Capankajsmilyo (talk) 08:49, 6 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Jishara I just received a message that review has been put on hold. Is there some issue? Capankajsmilyo (talk) 16:19, 6 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hi! I putit on hold back after doing my initial review, not sure why the notification just came in now. Rechecking is happening. Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 19:33, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
For clarity, @Capankajsmilyo:, was AI involved in your creation or updates to the Neminatha article? Specifically the updates you did starting on May 16? Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 11:51, 10 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Jisharanot for all edits, but for some I used it to streamline English. Capankajsmilyo (talk) 12:49, 10 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
That does explain a lot, like the timeline inconsistencies, the excessive citations, and the unattributed phrasing. As such, I unfortunately will have to fail this GA review on verifiability - not every source here is accessible online, and with a LLM in play I'd have to check literally every source to be able to confirm that everything is supported. Furthermore, I'm fairly certain that at least some details aren't, considering even before doing a spotcheck I found clear timeline inconsistencies, such as which calendar was being used, when he lived, and what era the statue was from. Please take the time to remove all of the LLM influence and manually verify all of the sources before resubmitting. Jishara (please ping upon response) (talk) 13:15, 10 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, spelling, grammar, and understandability): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
The MoS is followed. However, in some places organization doesn't make sense - for example, the discussion of textual sources of the Jain inscription shouldn't be under the Ghora Angirasa hypothesis, and I feel as though there needs to be more about some of them than that they exist. Furthermore there are some spelling/grammar errors that I'd ask to fix, and you double-list Ghora Angirasa - going into depth about it in both Historicity and Teachings.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable, as shown by a source spot-check.
a (reference section): b (inline citations to reliable sources): c (OR): d (copyvio and plagiarism):
Earwig and I both find no signs of copyvio. Clauses are all cited in line to reliable sources. References section is clear, but many are missing page numbers, ISBNs, etc. However, there are some things that aren't supported by citations - furthered by some of the citations being massive pileups where some sources are difficult to access - at one point in Life Before Renunciation I see 6 sources for one sentence - and the ones I'm able to access don't fully support the sentence. Also, some internal inconsistencies - when did he live, 84,000 years or 81,000 years? was it Jain or Hindu calendar? 54 or 55 days of asceticism? Also, the Kalyani Chalukyas didn't exist at the time you're stating they built the things - they were 10th to 12th centuries, not 7th century. - after all of this is updated I will do a second spotcheck.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
Occasionally feels slightly unfocused - in particular in Mount Girmar, and also when it talks about Ugrasena.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
There's a bunch of lines with "believed" or "likely" that should state who hypothesized, etc. Especially the may also be identified with Scandinavian Deity one, too - needs to be attributed
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
No sign of edit wars or anything like that in the history, so no stability threat.
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have non-free use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
Relevant pictures with good captions that have clear use justifications, are usable, and are useful in the article.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
    On hold
