Hello

[edit]

Hello! Just a quick update, I have already submitted an edit request at Talk:Mahathir Mohamad regarding some wording that I believe may need clarification or revision. Feel free to have a look if you're interested. Thank you for your time and for your contributions to the article! ~2026-36417-63 (talk) 06:58, 24 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Just responded to you there. Out of curiosity, are you using any AI assistance to write your posts? Day Creature (talk) 07:02, 24 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
no, thank you😁 ~2026-36417-63 (talk) 07:21, 24 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Company page edit - LLM

[edit]

Hi Day Creature

Thanks a lot for taking a look at the suggested edits for Framestore wiki page. There is a team of us working on the updates so the copy is generated by team members - hence the COI note - but we have used AI to help edit finesse the copy so it's easier to read/consistent. We are trying to follow the rules, but would be grateful to know what you would suggest in order for us to better reflect what the company does, and milestones.

Thank you Vfxinfilm (talk) 08:21, 7 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

AI-generated talk page posts and edit requests are not allowed, per WP:AITALK. Your comment also suggests that you may be sharing a Wikipedia account, which is likewise not allowed per WP:NOSHARE. Going forward, you should ensure that any edit requests you make are written entirely yourself without any AI assistance, and that only one individual uses your Wikipedia account and does not share it or its password with anyone else. Day Creature (talk) 18:39, 7 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
thank you. The Wikipedia account is my own, I'm not sharing it, me and my team mates are working together in an office to look at the company page, I then paste all our suggested edits in the talk page. I will start again! ~2026-38605-67 (talk) 20:36, 7 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

LLM edit requests question

[edit]

Heyo, I've been stumbling across edit requests denied by you for LLM usage, and I just wanted to ask... what about Talk:Universal Avenue#Edit request: update Varvet status after 2018 made you think it was AI generated? Just curious, I want to improve my detection skills aand stuff pattersonuwu njz (talk) 17:23, 13 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Basically, the whole "conflict of interest disclosure" thing at the bottom. Use of a boldface heading like that followed by a colon is generally indicative of AI. Same with the "I am requesting a change here instead of editing the article directly." LLM-generated edit requests very commonly have identical or similar language, and it's the kind of negative parallelism ("it's not X, it's Y") that LLMs use all the time. Finally, the "If there are concerns, I am happy to do X" language at the end. LLMs love to insert these canned phrases at the end of edit requests; they always write them like they're emailing their boss. The use of Template:request edit rather than Template:edit COI is also a huge tell for me, as the LLMs are continually directing people to use this incorrect template. Other things you can look for that weren't in that specific request: general overuse of boldface and em dashes, use of Markdown and other Wikitext formatting errors, and references to "neutral", "independent" or "uninvolved" editors.
One of these days maybe I'll write up something like WP:AISIGNS but specifically for edit requests, as I think I've gotten pretty experienced at spotting them at this point. It helps to always ask yourself: would a human being who is making their 1st edit to Wikipedia really write something like this? Day Creature (talk) 17:48, 13 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

RE: James Rodriguez edit request

[edit]

Hi Day Creature,

I wrote the edit request on James Rodriguez, and even made an account as I thought aspects of the base article seemed to have been pretty egregiously edited.

I did write and structure that thing myself, I had hoped for clarity and with as exhaustive reasoning as I was willing to spend time on, this is how I reason and structure if left to my own devices, if its setting off automatic issues, I don't understand why or if I should rework the request.

Sorry if this is unwelcome but to stand on my soapbox for a second, I do have real issues with the article in its current Ver.

I believe the base article has been the subject of what I guess would be termed fan editing, that sentence I took particular umbrage with is very under supported for the scale of the claim, particularly given the 'source behind the source' and feels like it is trying to establish a consensus where there is none.

I have actually been looking at the intro further, and there is also issue with:

- "Utilizing statistical models to evaluate performance data, the study identified Rodríguez as the most efficient midfielder with the highest average of goals and assists per match in the history of Real Madrid" -> Neither citation supports the second part of that sentence, that was not part of the purview of the study. Should be properly cited or removed.

- "At the international level, he entered the top ten list of all-time assist providers in men's international football history, surpassing Brazil's Pelé" -> contradicts the actual all-time list on wikipedia, Pele has 47 assists as the accepted total on here. Should be removed.

Sorry for the wall of text and sorry if this is not the place to be doing this.

If there are issues with the article the best place to discuss them is on the article talk page. Day Creature (talk) 04:08, 10 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Can you respond to edit request on Sanadhya Brahmin please. ~2026-44275-44 (talk) 00:52, 13 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I won't be able to review it as I don't have access to the sources and am not familiar enough with the subject matter. Also, I noticed that the Google Books links are incorrect. Day Creature (talk) 06:22, 13 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
I fixed the Google books links, you can check it now. ~2026-44275-44 (talk) 07:02, 14 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for fixing the links. I'm going to reopen your edit request so someone else can take a look, as I'm not familiar enough with the subject to evaluate it properly. Day Creature (talk) 19:05, 14 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Clarification regarding LLM warning

[edit]

Hi Day Creature. I wanted to clarify that I wrote the substance of the comment myself. English is my second language, and I sometimes use Google Translate to translate or improve the English of comments I have already written. I understand the concern about LLM-generated discussion comments, but machine translation should not be mistaken for having an LLM generate the argument or comment for me. Thanks. ~~~~ Oswald Quinsley (talk) 22:33, 14 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

Responded at your talk, let's keep the discussion there. Day Creature (talk) 07:39, 15 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

please help me

[edit]

@Day Creature hi, could you please help me? user Imroxmx has repeatedly been making unsupported changes to the Mariam-uz-Zamani, Ruqaiya Sultan Begum, and Padshah Begum articles without providing reliable references. some of the claims have no clear historical basis. i've already corrected the edits and left a note on their talk page, but the same changes keep being added back. i can't reverted edit, so i have to fix everything manually each time, which is taking a lot of time. could you please warn them about this? thanks Furogh e Lotf (talk) 07:05, 31 August 2026 (UTC)Reply

I don't believe I've edited any of those articles before. I noticed that you posted this on several other editors' talk pages, so please make sure you've read and understood our policy on canvassing. Day Creature (talk) 15:09, 31 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
you came up because you previously commented on or gave advice on my edit request on the Akbar talk page, which was related to the articles I mentioned. i thought you might be able to help since your user page "I help out with small fixes and reverting vandalism..." as i mentioned, i can't revert edits yet, so i was simply asking for some help with that. sorry if i got this wrong, and honestly, i'm not trying to start an argument or anything. that's all. thankfully, another editor has now reverted them.
