Happy New Year
[edit]
PhilKnight (talk) — is wishing you a Happy New Year! It's the last day of 2025 and tomorrow will be 2027. Hope the coming year brings pleasures for you. Have a prosperous, enjoyable and a productive 2027. This greeting (and season) promotes WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Happy New Year, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Happy New Year!
Spread the New Year cheer by adding {{subst:New Year 2}} to their talk page with a friendly message. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PhilKnight (talk • contribs) 17:10, 31 December 2025 (UTC)
- @PhilKnight: I genuinely appreciate this message of yours. I hope the same for you and thank you for this message. May 2026 go according to plan for you. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 07:16, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
- I assume you meant 2026? 97104, not 97100! (t•c•r•l) 17:42, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
- @User97104: He delivered the message on 31 December 2025 and instead of saying simply "2026", he wrote a template "{{#expr:{{#time:Y}} + 1}}" which basically coded the template to add one year to the current year. Since the current year is 2026, the coded template shows 2027. But when the message was delivered in 2025, it did say 2026. It's complicated, I know, but I did my best explaining. You gave me a edit warning in August, but this editor is still reverting even after I go on the talk page and getting consensus. They called it "imaginary consensus" and have reverted my edits 3 times.

Speedy deletion nomination of N767BA
[edit]
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on N767BA requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Carson5034 (talk) 00:39, 6 January 2026 (UTC)

The article Operation Gang Bust has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Hi! I reviewed the page you created yesterday as part of the New Page Patrol, and I'm afraid I don't think the topic is notable - see WP:NOTNEWS, WP:LASTING and WP:BREAKING. I have proposed it be deleted using WP:PROD. If you (or anyone else) disagrees, all you have to do is remove the PROD template and improve the article. If nobody edits it it will be deleted in about a week. If you think this event will have lasting significance and should be in the Wikipedia, could you please read the guidelines I linked above and edit it to show how the event fulfills the criteria? Thank you for all your contributions to Wikipedia!
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. Lijil (talk) 20:02, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Lijil: Thank you for notifying me and for that review and advice. I'll try to save the article once I'm free. Goodbye. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 20:08, 14 January 2026 (UTC)

Can we change the image for Air France 447?
[edit]This is actually pretty similar to the Pakistan 8303 discussion we had a few weeks back. Not only is Air France KLM Group on the fuselage, but the Air France symbol is on the engines just like the Pakistan 8303 image. Also, on its own it is a sky background image. The 2007 image also has worse lighting and is more blurry with buildings in the background. I think you should just let me change the image just like you let me change the image for Pakistan International Airlines Flight 8303. Zaptain United (talk) 20:22, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- I mean you also agree to changing the Pakistan 8303 image when I show you that the previous image was in a previous livery so why not do the same here? They both had livery changes to the engines. Zaptain United (talk) 20:24, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Zaptain United: Not only my reasonings in my edit descriptions, but 2 other editors have reverted the image change in the same article as well. It's best to take it to the talk page rather than here. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 20:26, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- They only reverted me changing the caption to mention the previous livery not the new image. At the time those reverts were happening the 2007 image was in use. Only after those reverts, another user who I had asked to upload the image, change it to the 2009 image. You are the only one to revert the image change so far. Hopefully, you understand this.
- TLDR: The image was changed after the reverts of the caption, the reverts were just about the caption.
- Can you now let me change the image? I think I have addressed everything in your edit revert. Also, the 2007 image has worse lighting with more sun reflecting on it so there is something with the the previous image. Zaptain United (talk) 20:36, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Oh, I misunderstood what they were doing. I'm getting a bit tired of this, do what you want. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 20:39, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

Having a symbol put on the engine is not a new livery. Liveries are big changes, and rolled out across fleets with big marketing campaigns. Adding a symbol is not a different livery. Canterbury Tail talk 20:42, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Well, I think I have addressed the issues with them. Stop putting yourself into a conversation that has already concluded and you have conveniently commented after I have reverted their edit and solved this issue. I think you were hoping for this conversation to end up with them disagreeing with me and refusing to let me change the image. Zaptain United (talk) 20:45, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- I'm not agreeing with you, I'm simply tired of talking about the same issue again and again. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 20:47, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Also, for someone who accuses me of stalking, you seem to be following me a lot on wikipedia. Maybe it is because of the sockpuppet allegations, but you have been doing this for a little bit before that. Zaptain United (talk) 20:48, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- I think the solution for this issue is to just use the current image. It is in the current livery and it solves the problem of the caption by making it obsolete. Zaptain United (talk) 20:52, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- I have thousands of pages on my watchlist, you keep coming up on many of them. And note the consensus needs to be on the talk page, not some other user's talk page. And amazingly you still don't understand how consensus works, Ivebeenhacked cannot "let" you change things. Canterbury Tail talk 20:55, 28 January 2026 (UTC)
- Well, they were the only ones to disagree with me and we have had previous discussions on image changes and do you have a lot aviation accident articles on your watchlist because I do in fact like editing all the aircraft accident/incident articles. My ultimate goal is to edit every single one of them and change the caption, short description, or image if needed. But, we are getting off track from the original conversation that has ended. I might discuss this on your talk page. Zaptain United (talk) 21:00, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

Hi, user Hohum has enhanced these two images (1 and 2) from this poster. What do you think about using them in this rejected poster after its enhancement, and replacing this specific image from the poster with this one: Here?

Talk page of editor of Katō Kiyomasa
[edit]Hi! I noticed that you reverted a user's edit on the page for Katō Kiyomasa. Thank you for this, and for warning them, but they then proceeded to blank their talk page with an offensive comment, seemingly towards you. Not only this, but I suspect they may be using different temporary accounts, intentional or not, since another temporary account made the same edit prior (that I'd reverted myself, hence how I came across all of this).
Because of that, I haven't warned them for the talk page edit yet. Perhaps I should have, but part of me was tempted to instead report it on WP:ANI since I doubt the editor will engage in any civil discussion. That said, I don't know if that's too hasty, and of course I have no solid evidence that the editor is using multiple temporary accounts, so I thought I'd bring it up to you and ask you what you thought the best way forward was. What are your thoughts? Thanks. Squitor!!! (say hi, i won't bite) 14:12, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- I didn't even realise he said that to me. I thought he simply blanked the page. If you really suspect if the Temporary Account is using different accounts, then I'd agree bringing it to ANI would be the best way forward. I also agree that if the TA is doing that, he won't engage in civil discussions. May you provide me those other suspected accounts? Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 14:29, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the swift response, and sorry for the delay in my own. Naturally, there was ~2026-29245-60 (the account in question) and I also suspect that ~2026-29047-83 was used by the same person, due to the same non-trivial edit being made within a short period of time, and the non-existence of edits on any other article by the two accounts. Will you be able to take it from here? I'm of course happy to help wherever possible but I'm unfamiliar with the process. Squitor!!! (say hi, i won't bite) 19:32, 15 May 2026 (UTC)

Good article nominations RfC
[edit]Hi Ivebeenhacked,
There is an ongoing Request for Comment (RfC) at Wikipedia:Good article nominations/August 2026 RfC, which you may be interested in because in the past year, you have nominated or reviewed more than one good article nomination. This message has also been sent to all subscribers to the Good Article Gazette. The RfC contains many proposals (33 at the time of writing), which are split into the following categories: nominators, reviewers, reviews, volunteer roles, reviewing initiatives, and others. However, you are more than welcome to add any proposals of your own that you wish to put to the community.
By the end of September, all the proposals will have been closed by an uninvolved editor, either as a consensus for one of the options or with no consensus. At this point, editors will be invited again to develop these proposals into coherent policy and implement them.
Thank you for your contributions to the good articles project, and I look forward to your input! (in solidarity), JacobTheRox(talk|contributions) 16:02, 11 August 2026 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, you included in your revert And background information like that about the Netanyahu saying something about a potential attack should come AFTER the incident circumstances are explained.
Can I ask why you believe warnings before the incident should be placed after the incident, rather than a background section, where background information belongs? Thanks! – Nice4What (talk · contribs) ♥ 06:17, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
- I should've been more clear here, so I'm sorry about that. Let me clarify; I didn't mean that as a general rule. What I was concerned about is that adding Netanyahu's warning section was too intricate to be introduced early in the article body. I feel like if we go through the incident section first, explaining the circumstances of the incident, and then we get into Netanyahu's warning, the reader will better understand what happened and why his warning was relevant. So I'm pretty much saying the background detail was way too intricate and putting it after the incident section will make more sense for us since we have been given basic information about the incident first.
- Also, do you also disagree with me removing content about UAE-Israel normalisation? Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 06:32, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
- And I'm also sorry if I sounded rude in the edit description. I'm not a rude person, I promise. Well, I could be sometimes, but not this time. Hacked (Talk|Contribs) 06:34, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you for your apologies, it means a lot. Typically the lead is what explains the basics of the incident, after which the background section provides the context before the incident (in chronological order). You can see that for almost any other air disaster article. The normalization detail might not be important, but context that flights were ongoing during a three-year war seems worthwhile if reliable sources are included that detail too. – Nice4What (talk · contribs) ♥ 18:00, 1 October 2026 (UTC)
