Hello, I'm Gnomingstuff. An edit that you recently made seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications is not allowed on Wikipedia, and may contain factually inaccurate statements, fictitious citations, or other problems. You should instead read reliable sources and then summarize those in your own words. Your edit may have been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. Gnomingstuff (talk) 03:52, 28 July 2026 (UTC)
- Hi Gmoningstuff, I have not made any new edits to the article since I submitted it for publication in April this year. I have extensively reworked the article before submission, ensuring that all citations are from reliable, published sources, as well as adopting a neutral point of view, amongst other requirements. As such, I am not sure which aspect of the article contains 'factually inaccurate statements' or 'fictitious citations'. If there are any, please point them out, and I'll be happy to review them or substantiate them. ~2026-41845-07 (talk) 08:53, 28 July 2026 (UTC)
- I am going to assume this IP account is you. That was a template called user warn. It often creates overly general statements. The issue is the prose appears like "AI" (I disagree with this de facto rule) and the sources did not demonstrate that you were notable.
- Sorry for the massive delay. 16dvnk (talk) 11:32, 31 August 2026 (UTC)

Nomination of Joshua Chiang for deletion
[edit]The article is being discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Joshua Chiang until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may still edit the article, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the AfD notice from the article until the discussion is closed.A beer for you!
[edit]| Hi. It may be unfortunate to hear that your article would be deleted, and how fast the Teahouse community only focused on the AI part without a practical way forward. I apologize for that extreme anti-AI culture.
Next time, please do not use AI for the prose and/or sourcing. It would be appropriate to only make edit requests about the article after you become notable, if at all. Thanks! 16dvnk (talk) 06:07, 31 August 2026 (UTC) |
- There's something to understand where COI + AI is a very suspicious profile. We had many of these cases before and most of them went south. This is why the feedback was not exactly warm. 16dvnk (talk) 06:12, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @Joshua Chiang (artist). I also think you have been treated pretty badly at The Teahouse and will be raising it with the volunteer users. I'm sorry you had such a negative reaction. Wikipedia is currently in a bit of a nexus point when it comes to anything AI-related; the majority of the community see it as an existential threat to the project and treat all AI-assisted text as bad, no matter the reason.
- It was unfortunate the article was accepted via AfC by mistake. It was unfortunate you initially used AI to re-write some sections and format your posts. It was unfortunate the community came down on you like a tonne of bricks.
- Your artwork is very interesting and I encourage you to continue with it- perhaps someday and uninvolved editor will deem you notable enough for an article to be made. qcne (talk) 10:20, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
- Agreed. 16dvnk (talk) 10:22, 31 August 2026 (UTC)
