[edit]I won't revert the change to Constance Markievicz, but "no flags in infoboxes" is most certainly not a rule, but a suggestion-- keep that in mind maybe when removing others' edits JoeyDirigo (talk) 16:45, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- @JoeyDirigo: Wrong, it's visual clutter and also 2 different flags were used by the Irish Republic. So I will continue to remove flags from infoboxes per MOS:INFOBOXFLAG. Thanks! Spleodrach (talk) 07:33, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
- Sure, go ahead, I support your decision. But visual clutter as a label is subjective (especially considering the image sizes), and judging by their repeated additions to (and presence on) other military history related biographies, I think people view them as helpful. I guess what I'm saying here is MOS:infoboxflag is slightly out of touch. With regards to the Irish Republic's two flags, it's a good point-- a national flag likely shouldn't have been added to the specific article. Thanks JoeyDirigo (talk) 12:56, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
