Happy birthday to me. Happy birthday to me. Happy birthday, goth Fallan. Happy birthday to me.
Oh, and what a pleasure it was seeing that dead dog on the morning of my birthday. *sarcasm*
The birthday goth is feeling pissy! That would be me. Today is my birthday, as you now know. I just had a party. A little one, with just close family, Ja, and G. It was a little depressing. My day at school sucked. But I got to talk to C, at least, at the end of the day. It doesn’t make up for the bad day, but it was still good. We hardly ever see each other any more. The other day he gave me an A.F.I. mix CD he made. It had a few songs I’ve never heard by A.F.I., and the song “99 Red Balloons” by Goldfinger.
Oh, and I got to see Jo today! I think I may have a little crush on him, but I’m not sure. He’s cute, and funny as hell. Not to mention, incredibly smart. But he can crack a joke, and I laugh till my stomach hurts if funny enough. And they usually are. He’s a former drug addict. But still cool.
But, anyways, I want to type about my presents.
For my birthday, I got a guitar from my slightly ecstatic uncle. From Mom, H, and little bastard (brother), I got two books by Stephen King; The Green Mile; The Complete Novel and Cell, which I have pined for ever since it came out; I also acquired the movie Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, which was a better movie than I had first anticipated. I thought that it would fuck with the book, and it did, a little, but not badly. Also, from them, they gave me a new TV with a built in DVD player, since little bastard has my old one. It’s very nice.
But, above all, my favorite presents come from Sister, Je, and Niece. They gave me a BEAUTIFUL tiger statue, about six inches high and a foot long, made in India and of real leather! Once again, BEAUTIFUL! From them I also got a grey shirt that’s only one size smaller than I like my shirts. It has Popeye the Sailor Man on the front. He’s holding a guitar and written below him in brown are the words “Popeye Rock.” Niece gave me my present from her early. Yesterday, in fact. It was a gold chain necklace from one of those vending machines. She and Sister also gave me, yesterday, a beautiful wooden box with a brown and green flowery design on the top. It held a dragon key chain inside, which I also loved.
I loved those presents most in their simplicity and the love and thought which went into them. Perhaps those three people are the only ones in my life who will ever really hold my love and admiration. (Them and maybe Jo.)
But there it is. My day. I really never got excited today. Nothing at all made my heart speed up in anticipation or anything. Despite it being my birthday. (Except for seeing Jo.)
That’s all.
