fantasy_contest's Journal

fantasy_contest is a icontest community for magical or fantasy related icons. The community was started on January 12th, 2005 by dark_illusen. Each challenge will have special rules or guidelines, but there are also general rules to keep in mind. Please read them below, carefully, or your icon may be disqualified. For each challenge, there will be 4 winners. A first, second, and third place as well as a mod's chioce will be awarded after the votes are counted. Winners will recieve a banner.

Since all icons are submitted in a comment to the icon challenge post, posting access is not needed. I am the only one who needs to have posting access, so please do not ask.

1) Icons should be magic or fantasy related. That is what this community is about after all. ;)

2) Cap icons and theme icons don't have to be from the same movie or show

3) Icons must meet the LJ icon requirements, this means keep it to 100x100 and 40kB or less.

4) When submissing your icon to the challenge post both the icon and just the URL itself. (see submitting if you need help)

5) Do not post your icon anywhere until the voting is over and winners have been announced.

6) Do not use an icon you have made in the past and do not submit the icon to any other challenges. The icon should be made specifically for this challenge.

7) Follow the rules that are also with each individual challenge.

8) Do not use someone elses base to make your icon. Make the whole icon yourself!

9) Do not take the icons featured in the challenges. If the icon maker wants you to take the icons, he/she will post them somewhere else and tell people specifially that they are up for grabs.

10) Have fun and be creative!

Submitting your icon
1) Submit your icon as a comment to the challenge post.
2) Only icons submitted before the deadline will be accepted.
3) Submittions should inclue the icon AND the url
