» Final Fantasy XII Fanfiction » Guidelines

1) Please be sure to use clear headers for all your fiction. It gives context in an aggregated world.

• Canon: if the story is derived from Revenant Wings, please use this label; users can denote XII Original Game Canon if they wish, but kittens will not be harmed if they choose not to. No guarantees for leaving off Revenant Wings labeling.

• Character(s)/Relationships(s): tags are applied by your Overlord. The characters and relationships you list in your header is how your work will be tagged.

Please note: "Cast" is not an appropriate character listing and characters or relationships "mentioned" is also sketchy. These items will be ignored, because the Overlord is a vicious fandom dictator hellbent on useful searching by tags.

If an entry is untagged, it means the headers are incorrect or incomplete. If your fic has no tags a week after posting, fix the issue and contact the Overlord, who will not chew your face off, contrary to what you may have heard.

• Rating: of any kind very helpful, also, warnings (or announcing that you will not be using any) are also looked upon with great pleasure by the Overlord.

2) Remember all fiction besides the headers (see #1) go under a livejournal cut.

3) Art is welcome in this community when posted in the same entry as any fanfiction. If you only have art to post, see ffxii_art, which is awesome.

4) All questions and answers for the community can be found at the welcome/FAQ post.

5) Fic searches are fine and dandy and the Overlord encourages them.

6) Don't advertise communities/projects or solicit the members. Soliciting includes asking people to do something for you or visit a link to something that is not a fic that can be read. See ff_noticeboard and ff_press to promote your wares, as that is why the Overlord created them.

Hint: if your post is not fic or a link to a fic and starts or ends with "I'm not sure this is allowed," it's probably not. Please do not be surprised when these are deleted with complete and utter disregard by the Overlord, who is very busy and dislikes when her fandom domination plans are interrupted by rule-breakers.
