I do have a question, though: How many of you actually download from here when I post it here? Because clearly this community's been less than active lately (Almost all the posts in the last ten months are my scanlations) so I'm guessing the majority of you that care for it have likely migrated to my scanlation community? Like, I'll keep posting them here so long as people are downloading from here, but if you're not then it's not really worth the trouble, is it?

Anyways, if you'd be so kind as to let me know in the comments. <3

Here we are, as promised! I must say, the initial exchange in this guy is probably the best thing I've ever translated.

That said, I will note that this doujinshi - even more than regular manga/doujinshi, which is saying something - it gets a bit confusing as to who's talking. I did my best, but my apologies if it gets a bit... blurry. That said, enjoy! It's wonderful and gorgeous.

HighVision

After Fran saved Ffamran's life, she agreed to lend him her aid - but she would not become his partner. Too many memories for that. But Ffamran can be persistant...

Another chapter that's a fair deal of... I won't say filler, but... padding?

Seriously, just once, I'd like BALTHIER to get an awesome padding chapter. Sigh.

Also, did ~~everyone~~ anyone here check out Gideon Emery's new CD? He's not the finest singer in the world, but GIDEON EMERY DID A CD. You can imagine Balthier or Fenris is singing to you, depending on your mood!

Noob with a Question

[31 May 2011|10:40pm]

purplebloom500

Hi all, I just started playing FFXII about a week ago and I'm already pretty certain that it's going to become my favorite game which is a huge thing, since Legend of Dragoon has held the #1 spot for about 10 years. Anyway, my question is does anyone knew of any fics/art/doujinshi/japanese fanart sites that include the Judges? Doesn't really matter which one (although I'm a big fan of Ghis) since they are all awesome. I've already looked on DA and fanfiction.net. Google searches don't really show anything besides battle strategies or something to that effect.

Thanks in advance!

I decided to go with putting the name in Romaji, and adding a translation note at the bottom. It still sounds silly, but... at least it doesn't look ~~quite so~~ silly. Ah, well.

Translation Help

[23 Feb 2011|11:52pm]

I've got a mild mission for you guys.

I'm puttering away on the Chapter 8 translation (8 pages left? Somewhere thereabouts.) and I'm stumped as to how to translate a certain kanji.

My first instinct was to call it the Quickening, but no, those are called "Mist Knacks" in the Japanese...

So my options are either: It's the name of a certain spell or something, or there's some kind of combo system I've forgotten about...

Regardless, the most literal meaning of them (them being "接触発動" for those people whose computers can display Japanese) is "touch activation" or something along those lines. It's some kind of magic, but...I just can't find what they called in in the English version.

( And here's the page, if that helps at all.Collapse )

Even if there is no exact English-version equivalent that you can find, something comparable would be nice... Otherwise I'm just gonna call it "Touch Activation" and that just sounds weird.

Thanks for your help!

So a friend of mine showed my something called jibjab and made a funky dance video. It's a christmas theme and everything and I laughed so hard tears were in my eyes.

Then I had an idea....

so I give you: Christmas XII style
