Hello, and welcome to the first-ever Livejournal community devoted to Star Trek's George Takei.
For information about George, check his page on IMDB or his bio on his official site. If you want a short info sheet, however, I will say here that George is a gay Japanese-American Democrat from Los Angeles, California, and that he has acted in many different things. He has written, with Robert Asprin, a science fiction novel named Mirror Friend, Mirror Foe, which involves ninja in space. He has also written an autobiography entitled To The Stars: The Autobiography of George Takei, Star Trek's Mr. Sulu. In short, he has done a lot of things.
Community guidelines:
-Anything related to George is welcome --- news, discussion, pictures, icons, rambling, anything.
-Similarly, anything about his Star Trek character, Hikaru Sulu, is welcome.
-General Star Trek discussion is okay, but keep it at least loosely connected to George --- series in which he never appeared should be discussed elsewhere.
-Please try to spell and punctuate correctly, and use reasonably good grammar. Legible posts make everyone's lives easier.
-Be polite. Don't flame anyone, and try to avoid making remarks that could be offensive. This is tricky sometimes, but do your best.
-Posting or commenting to insult George, Star Trek, members of the community, or anybody else shall be considered trolling and may cause you to be banned.
Have fun, and contact
spacelogic if you have any questions.
