This is the randomly-fannish journal of someone who has been in fandom 15 years, who happily mixes RPF in with media fandoms, and who rarely gives up old loves. I may be talking about the X-Files, or Due South, or Sherlock, or the Avengers. I may be gleefully rewatching the Sentinel, or I might be starry-eyed over John and Rodney, or Pete and Patrick, or Steve and Danno, or Aubrey and Maturin.
Or I might be posting pictures of my cats. :D
My fic is mostly assembled here under my fic tag but will eventually be archived at the AO3 under Giddygeek. I say eventually because I am the laziest human on the planet, and it might be...a while. \o?
I friend people haphazardly as I acquire new fandoms, and I don't mind not being friended in return. I don't have notifications set up, and I used to check marnanel.org/joule but with that down, it might be a while before I notice I've been friended. I may or may not friend back--I usually don't with journals that don't have a history of posting, or only share one older fandom with me, etc. Every day is defriending amnesty day!
I give my permission for creation of any fanwork inspired by my stories; fanart, podfic, etc. I do prefer to be informed when fanworks have been made, and I prefer that a link to the original story with headers and warnings is provided.
The only caveat is that I can't listen to podfic. I've been asked in the past to provide feedback on stories of mine that have been podficced, and I'm always sorry to say that I'm delighted the podfic exists, but I can't provide feedback. It's a personal thing. If it makes a podficcer less likely to work on one of my stories, I fully understand and agree with that--if it doesn't matter, thank you!
