Yvonne De La Pena
Director, AMNH BridgeUP: STEM
Yvonne De La Pena leads the AMNH BridgeUP: STEM program, an education program focused on the intersection of computer science and science. BridgeUP: STEM includes programs for high school girls, a one-year post-baccalaureate fellowship for women, middle school institutes, and the annual hackathon. The program is generously funded by the Helen Gurley Brown Revocable Trust for the American Museum of Natural History’s BridgeUP: STEM initiative.
Yvonne has a Ph.D. in Psychological Studies in Education as well as an M.A. in Interactive Learning Media from the University of California, Los Angeles and her B.S. in Computer Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin.
