feat(routines): add provider-neutral message triggers - #745

@fetw882 is attempting to deploy a commit to the Inbox Zero Team on Vercel. A member of the Team first needs to authorize it. |
📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe change adds message-provider triggers to routines. It updates contracts, persistence, editor flows, mobile labels, inbound routine wakeups, TeamChat deferral, lease recovery, startup, and delivery validation. ChangesMessage routine triggers
Estimated code review effort: 4 (Complex) | ~60 minutes Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to Message-triggered routines can remain unavailable for agent fallback when a routine delivery stalls, and deferred routing failures may disrupt inbound message handling or duplicate-run recovery. These delivery-lifecycle issues should be resolved before merge. Suggested reviewers: Sequence Diagram(s)sequenceDiagram

Greptile SummaryThe PR adds provider-neutral message triggers to routine contracts, persistence, API routing, web/mobile interfaces, and inbound messaging delivery.
|
| Filename | Overview |
|---|---|
| apps/api/src/app.ts | Integrates sender eligibility, deferred ownership, routine wake delivery, startup retries, buffering, and bounded shutdown. |
| apps/api/src/messaging-inbound.ts | Adds provider-filtered routine lookup, fenced inbound payload delivery, replay-safe nonces, and sender approval checks. |
| apps/api/src/team-chat-bridge.ts | Adds deferred routing ownership and recovery, but recovery still relies on process-local knowledge of active wakes. |
| apps/api/src/team-chat-startup.ts | Adds bounded pending-inbound buffering and startup/shutdown lifecycle helpers. |
| apps/api/src/router.ts | Persists and maps the nullable message-provider trigger through routine create and update operations. |
| packages/contracts/src/domain.ts | Extends the routine contract with a validated nullable provider-neutral message trigger. |
| packages/db/prisma/schema.prisma | Adds nullable message-provider persistence to the Routine model. |
| packages/db/prisma/migrations/20260907120000_routine_message_provider/migration.sql | Adds the nullable Routine message-provider column without rewriting existing rows. |
| apps/web/src/pages/RoutineEditor.tsx | Adds Slack message-trigger selection and persistence to the web routine editor. |
| apps/mobile/app/routine.tsx | Displays provider-specific message triggers in mobile routine summaries. |

Wake CAS now extends the deferred lease, promote requires rearmed/null ownership, shared reason constants live in one module, and stop() bounds waiting on a blocked startup reconcile. Co-authored-by: Elie Steinbock <elie222@users.noreply.github.com>
Do not promote deferred rows still marked for routine routing after lease or grace expiry, and re-hold the deferred heartbeat while awaiting an in-flight wake after renewal loss so reconcile cannot start a second run. Co-authored-by: Elie Steinbock <elie222@users.noreply.github.com>

Fixed Greptile P1 (routing grace duplicate execution) in 328cb1b. Routing ownership now stays exclusive past lease/grace expiry until resolveDeferredMessage or process-start recoverInterruptedRoutineRoutes. After heartbeat renewal loss, the inbound path re-holds the deferred heartbeat while awaiting the in-flight wake. Regression covers a rearmed claim past the old two-minute grace with wake still blocked: reconcile does not promote or queue a second run. Thread PRRT_kwDOT3Chxc6fwURm is resolved. |

Wrap teamChatBridgeInstance.stop() in the shared startup shutdown timeout, and make the reconcileOnce regression block deferred recovery instead of transcript mirroring so stop() is proven under a stuck startup reconcile. Co-authored-by: Elie Steinbock <elie222@users.noreply.github.com>

…erred Expired message_routine_routing claims are dropped during reconcile so a crashed wake cannot leave deferred rows stuck forever, while live wakes still re-hold the heartbeat. Deferred promotion also accepts non-ownership ambient engagement reasons, matching queue(). Co-authored-by: Elie Steinbock <elie222@users.noreply.github.com>
Track same-process routine wakes so reconcile does not clear their routing ownership when the heartbeat dies mid-deliver, while still reclaiming true orphans after process crash. Co-authored-by: Elie Steinbock <elie222@users.noreply.github.com>

Why
#740 delivered the signed webhook and GitHub parts of #401, but the requested Slack-style “when this happens, wake” trigger was still missing. Rakazo's current messaging surface is provider-neutral (Slack is one adapter and Teams/Discord can follow), so the Routine model should not grow a second Slack-only ingestion path.
What changed
