SMART hammers external drive once per second

When SMART is enabled in Disk section, my external drive is accessed every second. I have had to turn the feature off to prevent this. Would it be possible to have a setting that allowed me to choose to access SMART, say, once per hour?

Mac Mini M4, 16GB RAM, running OS27 Public Beta 4. Stats version 3.0.11.

I have a fix for this ready: a new SMART update interval option in the Disk module settings — Same as update interval (default) / 1 minute / 5 minutes / 15 minutes / 30 minutes / 1 hour.

CapacityReader now reads SMART through a per-drive timestamped cache (same approach as the existing purgableSpace cache) and only opens the IOKit interface to the drive when the chosen interval has elapsed — so external drives are no longer accessed on every update tick. The default keeps the current behavior exactly, so nothing changes unless the user opts in.
