Are you fed-up with garbage, full-of-shit sites where nobody actually communicates, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter? Do you wish your old friends who've migrated to those sites would return to LiveJournal? The the_lj_revival community has been set up with that aim in mind, and you are invited to join it. If you are already on LiveJournal and still have a Facebook profile, and would like to see more people returning to LJ or setting up accounts here, we invite you to post a link to this community on your Facebook Timeline. If you would like to find out who is still using LiveJournal and make contact with those who are already here, you are invited to copy and paste the 'about me' questions on the profile page and post them with your answers to the community.

Hey all! This looks like a really nice community. I was wondering if any of you knew of any good quality (non-itchy) wigs? I've lost my hair to chemo and it's just starting to come back, but it's so slow. So yes, non-itchy wigs that aren't too expensive? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey lovelies!

I've got a truckload of MAC and other brands (DIOR, DivaDerme, Make up For Ever) make-up ending in a day or two over on GothAuctions.com! All super under priced, most NEW in BOX!, all authentic and awesome. I'm a make-up artist for film & tv, so I end up with a lot of excess, doubles and stuff I use once. Get it while you can! I'm desperately trying to make some room in my make-up closet....for more make-up! Haha

Full size pigments (NOT samples!), eyeshadows, lipsticks, glosses, nail polish and more.

Follow the link!

http://www.gothauctions.com/auction/aboutMe.asp?aboutMeUserName=Vampress

GothAuctions is free to join! But please note as per my auction terms, if you're without any feedback I WILL need to ship your stuff via a trackable method (for my own safety and yours, had a few bad experiences with people trying to rip me off via Paypal). To the US, this will cost $16 for tracking & insurance, BUT I can fit a ton of make-up in the package for that price. So just buy lots to justify the high shipping cost and know that it will arrive quick & safe. I'm also willing to take items down off GothAuctions if they don't have bids, but again, will have to be a trackable method as already mentioned!

I recently picked up some MAC Paint Pots in Delft and Artifact. I love the intense color they give, but I can't figure out how else to apply them other than with my fingers. I wouldn't mind, except for the fact that it's hard to get it into the corners of my eyes without getting the paint all over the rest of the area.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I can use to apply the paint? I've tried MAC's 239 brush and it does really pick up any of the paint.

Checked the memories but didn't exactly find what I'm looking for.

I want to know how to keep my eyeliner from smearing/smudging. I find that MAC Technakohl Liner and Revlon's Color Stay work best, but they still smudge after a few hours of wear on me. Anyone else have this problem?

Also I've tried liquid liner, but I always have a hard time getting it to go onto my skin dark enough.

Any help is much appreciated!

There is something I have been wondering now that winter is passed and summer is on its way.  I don't know about the rest of you, but I want to keep my pale skin.  I guess the obvious solution is to wear sunscreen, but I find that when I wear sunscreen with my makeup, my makeup looks wrong.  My face becomes like an oil slick and my makeup becomes cakey.  So I want to know how you all do it.  For those of you that wear sunscreen with your makeup, how do you do it and manage to have the appearance of flawless skin (as opposed to an oily, cakey mess)?

Just for information's sake, I use Aveeno Facial Sunscreen in SPF 70, and it is oil free.  And for makeup I use MAC studio fix powder foundation in NC20 (I wish I were more pale!).

Any and all tips are welcomed and greatly desired!

Thanks to all you lovely ladies (and gents!).

Okay.  This is something I have been thinking about for the last few days, and I thought I could make a fun post out of it.  I've been trying to come to an idea in my mind as to what "gothic makeup" is exactly.  If someone were to ask you, "What is gothic makeup?" what would you say to them?  How would you describe it to someone who is not really sure of what it is?

So here is what I want from you ladies and gents.  Describe to me what "gothic makeup" is.  And if you have pictures, please post them!

I'm just trying to make this fun, and I'm curious about what everyone else's view is of what "gothic makeup" is.

I also think part of the reason I am asking this is because I am not sure I even know what gothic makeup is exactly.  I generally just wear black eyeliner, dark shadow (such as a black smokey eye, or a neutral eye, and the odd colour), and a dark lipstick.

So please, tell me what your views are on this!
