ghx postponed!
the bad news:
everyone on staff (ie, jenny and me) is sick. like gross sick. like we can't hope to run things at this rate because we're congested as hell and while we're at a cafe trying to work on things we discover that just sitting here we're sweating and feverish and light-headed sick (okay, well, i am, anyway.. jenny is actually on the mend). yes, that sick.
so, because of the setback to productivity that the red death has brought with it, there are entirely too many holes in the hunt as it is to even consider running it. seriously. so, rather than deliver a broken and incomplete hunt, it's been postponed. i'm thinking april since the winter corridor is just a logistical nightmare to even try to shoot for. so, april it shall be. in particular, i'm looking at april 18 or 25 right now.
sincerest apologies for scheduling screwups. seriously, sorry. (and, really, given all the running around and damage control that happens when the hunt has to get rescheduled, there is no one more sorry than me. =] )
i'm sure this is all the work of terrorism... bio-terrorism at that. *shakes fist angrily at the heavens*
the good news:
the hunt we have planned for you guys is really pretty cool. pouring more time and effort into it is a good thing (and, that said, shortchanging you with anything less than what we have planned is a bad thing). i mean, if you liked the last hunt, this one's going to do that one up even better. expect good things.
because of weddings (weddings are the number one reason people can't go to hunts) and out of towniness and such, a good number of folks couldn't make it to this hunt. hopefully pushing this back until spring will make it more feasible for people. i mean, seriously, you guys have crazy advanced notice.
in the meantime, there's the serious possibility of there being an online activity you can take part in to make up for the fall hunt. news as that develops. (n.b.; elliot is an enabler.)
parting words:
again, my apologies for the inconvenience this may cause. ghx will run either april 18th or 25th. please let me know which works best for you or if you can even make it.
