Just like Jeopardy, our game will have a table consisting of a Category Header, with columns underneath listing a numeric value. The value represents the number of words in which a fic must be written. All responses must be in the form of a fic. Just click on an amount under a category you might find interesting, and write the fic it inspires. Each fic must be labeled and posted separately. There is no limit to the number of fics per category or amount you can write.
An example:
If the category / amount chosen is - Shiny for 100
And the question on the hot link is - Often this chocolate is messy.
Authors have one day to write a one hundred word fic depicting their answer. (In this case, if you wanted to know, it's Heero's hair. But it could be anything that makes you think of chocolate and messy within the Gundam Wing realm.)
There will be "generic" types of "questions" in which to write answers to. Also, just like Jeopardy!, double Jeopary categories and amounts will apply for those submitting fics during that time period. A "Wild Card" (or Joker) will appear from time to time, leaving the category a free-for-all - just make sure your story is about the subject.
There will be two tables per "game", and the author who accumulates the most points for stories submitted (though multiple stories per cat/amt can be submitted, only the one story is counted.) will receive commissioned fanart from their favorite artist (up to $35).
All posts should be made in this manner:
Subject line to contain the Jeopardy category and amount. Using our example, the subject would read:
Shiny / 100 or Shiny for 100
Multiple responses to a challenge are welcome and should be posted seperately. All responses must be properly labeled, with the body of the story hidden behind a < lj-cut text="lj cut" >;
Example:
Title: My Title
Author: My Name
Pairing: Pairing(s) if applicable.
Rating: G? PG-13? R? NC-17?
Warnings: Warnings if applicable. It should be obvious, but this is especially important for things like Character Death and NCS/Rape.
General rules:
No character bashing in a fic or in feedback.
No pairing bashing in a fic or in feedback.
No flames or unsolicited harsh criticism.
No off-topic posts of any kind. (If you are not a moderator, any post that is not a challenge response is considered OT.)
Finally, be polite and tolerant at all times. Treat the characters and your fellow fans with respect.
