Well, I'm not technically a widow, just yet. But I am marrying a halo gamer in late june or early july, so I figure I'm close enough, right?
Anyway, this looks like a fun comm, and I'm kinda glad to have a place where I can get to know other women like me.
Overall, I like the game, and I have a lot of fun playing it with my fiance. My issue with it is that I get motion sick from watching the screen. Yeah, go figure. I have a stomach of steel in real life when it comes to motion sickness, but when you simulated it from a first person perspective, I get sicker than a dog in about an hour flat. I really wish I was making it up.
Let's see, I'm also really into art (like, the real kind. Fanart, too, but I prefer the real stuff) and right now I'm focusing on printmaking. Let me know if you'd be interested in seeing my stuff. I'm kinda shy about my work, and I love constructive criticism. Emphasis on the constructive part. ;) My fiance is an aspiring journalist or psychologist or fiction writer, whichever manages to take off for him first. Really, I think he'll be great at either one, I just wish he'd make up his mind. But I'm the same way, I guess. I know what I love to do, but there are so many things that I could do that I don't even know where to start.
You'll notice a lot of Fullmetal Alchemist icons next to my name. I really love that series. I'm not as crazy as the constantly squeeling fangirls, but I have been known to do some squeeling in real life with some friends of mine. But mostly I just love the humor, the style of the artist (who is a female, I was super happy to find out), and that the overall story is about family, and the strong bond that lies therein.
So, there's a little bit about me. I'm excited to meet everyone and get to know you all. Please, comment and share a bit about yourselves, I'd love to get to know you!
