Mulata

Feet propped on desk, computer in lap, and wonderfully borrowed headphones drowning out the hum of the air conditioner. Give me a tall glass of long island iced tea, and I hereby proclaim this my official "I don't wanna go anywhere, you can't make me" position. It's quite nice, I'd highly reccomend it.

Ahhh~ It's so nice to know that I'm going to be in the same country for more than two days at a time. Even if I'd rather not deal with the mini-soap opera that's currently going down between the parental units. I have an extra week of relaxing time before summer school begins next tuesday, and I plan on using it well.

First on the list is taking care of getting me out of the hell-hole that has become my apartment. I don't doubt that they're probably complaining about when I plan on moving out, since I haven't even begun to pack up my things.

News flash, twits. I don't have anything but clothes and books there; there wasn't any space for my stuff in a TWO BEDROOM apartment once roomie moved her things from a ONE BEDROOM into it. I'm surprised my books even sort of fit. I'm taking the screen with me, even if I haven't a clue where I'm going to put it yet. She can keep the bed. I've given her enough money for the damned things.

*cough* Okay. No more ranting. I've done too much bitching already. Time to move on. ^_^

Second thing would probalby be to get my books for summer school. Heh. Dratted things are prolly going to cost an arm and a leg. Le sigh. Also going to head off to the bank to deposit a few checks for Dad and hopefully get my phone connected again. Probably going to get a nice earful about how I never answer my phone anyway, but meh.

Third is to clean my room. Heh. Moving back into a nice tiny space with twice the stuff should be interesting. It's been used as a guest room/storage closet for the past year, so it's in need of a good clean. Or just some severe organization wonders. I think I can fit everything back in here. Minus the bed. That'll have to go... somewhere. Heh.

In other news, I've become rather addicted to world music again. I found this rather addicting band called Superlitio from Columbia. Such fun music. I discovered them by accident while I was attempting to find a copy of an old Chinese song I used to sing in choir. I managed to join emusic and take advantage of that loverly free trial to download both the Chinese songs and Superlitio's music. I'd actually get a membership but... yeah... that'll have to wait until I have both space on my computer and money on my credit card. Ha.

Suuuuuch fun songs, though~! I've got the entire CD on repeat, and it's bloody wonderful for RPing to. I'll probably burn myself a CD for the car when I finally get my burner from the apt. (Yay for burning things!) Hopefully I can get a few more episodes of Rave off of my computer to make space for all this music as well.

(If anyone wants to randomly kidnap me to Colombia around the 10th of June, I really won't complain one bit. Just try and return me before school starts in the fall.)

After this week, I have an entirely new appreciation for my notebook. Having to go back and forth so much, it's been the only constant thing that's been around for me to jot down all of my thoughts and random plot ideas on. Not to mention organize all of this RP stuff that is (happily) being thrown my way. The little worker bee inside of me is twitching and making me list out various things that I normally would not mind squinching in the margins. My handwriting while in a car on reaaaally bumpy mexican roads leaves something to be desired, however.

Hopefully everything that's gone on in the past week will lead to happier, better things in the long run.

On a random note, today is Sir Author Conan Doyle's birthday! (He'd be 147 today, if he hadn't met his demise at the bottom of a waterfa- oh wait, wrong guy.) It makes me want to dig out my old SH fanfic and put it through the complete revamp and spiffication I worked out for it in February. It'll probably make my list of Things I Must Do sometime before the end of the week.

... Maybe I should make a list of Things that will eventually be on my Things I Must Do List before I forget them all. Ha. No, I've not gone list happy. I'll get over it once school starts up again. Really. It has nothing to do with the fact that I'm borderline obsessive compulsive. Then again, it really helps when taking notes in class. <3

Huzzah for summer!
