When I got the email from Dragondazd last night I was suffering badly from a fever, so I wasn't sure if I was imagining this or not. I'm so happy to be honoured in this way! You guys are great! ^^

My character is Syla, who's a brown fox. She's a vaguely magical (but pretty useless at it), and her world is very much medieval fantasy big-swords-and-magic. Anything Tolkein-esque is good. :)

Our next chosen one is azure_dragon whose numerous and long-term contributions to furartxchange has not gone unnoticed by the many who have received her art! It's about time she has been recognized and honored in turn.

I've no info on her form, but we'll see if we can coax her out of fax. :D

All three of the people we voted for will be honored, AND MORE! We will have two rounds, one for mods and one for azuredragon. :D

If we don't have a clear winner by the end of 2 days at which point most everyone in the community who will be voting would have voted, what should we do?

I can only think of advertising in DAX and FAX1 to try to get enough votes to make a difference, but that's a bit biased still.... I don't know, any suggestions if no one comes out far ahead, or far behind?

Well, now that we have members and a good amount of input, I have a question for all of you.

Do you like the setup where we honor long-term and short-term contributors, or would you prefer to have a criteria to vote on? By this I mean, kategod or I would pick a type of contribution and then we'd vote to determine who has done the most of this.
Some criteria examples are "most creative with themes", "quickest draw", "always reliable", "most improved" etc. This may make it easier to compare peoples' contributions but it also requires more work on the mods' part to come up with different ideas every few weeks.

Next round will be for longterm participation, and the round after that will be for work in July.

One of the things I'm thinking about for the longterm round is the mods and co-mods for all these communities. Some are not as well known as others so that's something to think about.
