Hello all,
I just want to put out a general call to any belly-dancers in areas where we will be playing shows. Basically, the deal is, if you feel the urge to shimmy--come to any of our shows and we will play for you! If there is an admission fee--we will reimburse you for that--we don't like the "pay-to-play" idea for musicians any more than for dancers!
Sometimes we do play shows where we have a limited time onstage (for example, we've had to play 20 minute sets before) but please--don't feel like it would take away from our time to play our non-belly-dance music!! We would much rather give a someone a chance to dance than to play just another normal set. So even if we do nothing but play for a dancer during a set, we'll be more than happy that we've gotten the opportunity to give a dancer some live music to dance to.
As of right now, all of our belly-dance music are pieces that we've written. We have approximately 45 minutes worth, but are in the process of learning some Turkish Rom music as well as some south Indian Bhangra music. Here is a link to most of the music we have written (and please forgive the quality of the tracks as these are just rough drafts-lyrics are also included on the page):

Please feel free to get in touch with us if you would like to arrange to have us play for you. And if you do come to one of our shows with the intention of dancing do not be afraid of just getting right up onstage--even if we're in the middle of another song--we have no problems with doing an immediate cut to some belly-dance music. Don't believe me. try us! ;)
