infj but we're all a bunch of analyzers, and I don't want to talk about just those incidents anyway.)I feel like the whole comm shutdown was an INFJ doorslam writ large—only it was one person slamming the door on 600+ people. And while I'm not repulsed by sex or discussing it, there are other attitudes and beliefs that people have where my first reaction is to pre-emptively doorslam the other party, or harangue them to death about whatever topic it is where we disagree. I can understand the desire to shut out everyone who disagrees with you because it's too much to deal with—if I were mod of
infj and the posts were about, say, white supremacy or women's inferiority to men, the desire to shut everything down and wash my hands of it would have been pretty overwhelming. (I know that those topics are not necessarily of the same caliber as mature discussion about sex, and I'm not saying I equate them, but those are fairly neutral examples that I imagine we can all agree are repulsive and feel strongly about....and I'm sure some people feel just as strongly about in-depth discussions about sex and sexuality.)So I can be petty, dictatorial, and closed-minded (ironically). I feel like tolerance and acceptance are things I need to work on, but you rarely see that in descriptions of INFJs. So I ask you: what are your flaws? Do you think they are representative of your type or are more personal than that?
