Some people are already familiar with my innocent fascination with Hebrew. I'm strongly interested in symbols and connections between thinking and language.
Hebrew has originally 22 letters, no vowels (which are determined by eventual diactritic marks, but I don't want to write about it now).
Generally I don't exalt any alphabet, but this one is really interesting and inspiring. I don't know what was primal but Hebrew is really excellently adapted to all esoteric "sciences". Number of letters just as number of tarot major arcanas etc..
( Writing numbers and gematriasCollapse ) For me it's almost breathtaking that whole symbolic system can be included in one alphabet, one language in such clear, logical way. Language - mandala.
Ok, maybe I'm inclined to be "spiritual linguist"...
Putting aside biblical tradition and sci-fi theories I will have to look for ideas what Babel tower was about.. But I'd rather believe to archaeologists and historians.
It's also quite amazing that we use letters from Latin alphabet and numbers from Arabic...
