Bee Baby hat. :) It turned out so cute!! It looks pretty big, but that flower isn't huge. :) I'm thinking it will last the baby for a bit. It was so easy to make too.

Buzzy Bee Blanket from Knitpicks. It turned out really cute. If I make it again though, I think I will try to make the corners differently so they come together in a point.

Both are made from Shine worsted weight, also by Knitpicks. It is a cotton, wood-fiber blend that is soft and lovely. It is what I used to make the turtles and Sheldon blanket. I thought it would be best for a California baby who likely doesn't need the warm of wool. :) I have a bunch left though, so I need to figure out how to use it up.

I started on another blanket a couple of days ago for another baby. It took a while to get started because the cast on was really new to me. It seems to be going well now though. It is a complicated blanket with lots and lots of cables. It is GORGEOUS though and it harkens back to the daddy's interest in all things Norse. I'd like to come up with something to make that relates to Mexico, which is where mama is from. Gotta hurry. I only have just over a month to finish!!

I finished the Impressionist Blanket too! It looks lovely, but I still need to block it. However, the bed where I plan to do so is covered in things headed to Goodwill and I need to clear it before any blocking will be done. I keep finding moths inside and am nervous that that blanket may get eaten. I am pretty sure that my computer cover is getting nibbled. I have had to repair three mysterious holes in it already. Boo. I can't prove it but I get any moth I see outside ASAP. Fortunately, my stash is small and in a closed container for now. I just hope what I have already knitted stay intact!!

Sully Shellworth/Super Sheldon

He was finished over a week ago, but my computer didn't feel like letting me upload the pictures until now for some reason.

HAES & School

( HAES stuffCollapse )

Ok, I'm going to read about EKG's. My life just doesn't get much more exciting than this. :)

Super Sheldon!

( I just can't stop! :)Collapse )
Now, I'm going to watch a little TV with Alisha and finish Sully. We need to clean the basement and kitchen, but we can put that off for another hour or so. :)

Sheldon the second

( I got distracted...Collapse )

Now, I should get back to those Union Jack Argyle socks. I think they may take a while to finish... I had to restart them after finishing about 5 inches. :( Oh well. I've got all week to knit! Cheers for Spring break!

Done!!

Less than two days and Alisha has Crabby McCrabbypants socks! :) I'm pretty proud of myself actually.

Plans for more socks

Heh. Yeah, not just putting up completed projects anymore..... I'm being inspired to do some knitting journaling by Yarn Harlot. :) I'll keep cutting pictures so those of you who are uninterested can skim over quickly. :)

Whee!!

( Socks and a Hat!Collapse )
That's the most recent stuff. It took me about 8 days to make the Quilla socks, if you don't count the time it took me to figure out exactly HOW I wanted to do it. I didn't knit a lot every day and now I'm wondering how long it would take me total to make a sock. I think I will time myself on Alisha's next pair, as she prefers really simple socks.

The hat was started and completed today. Not bad really. I'm planning on using some of my extra sock yarn to start making stocks of baby hats and wool socks for when I start my practice. If I can come up with a good, simple pattern for the hats, it should be simple to make them quickly. I already have a simple pattern for the socks.

I think I will start a pair of colored socks tomorrow. We'll see how it goes. :)
