So I went out to Hell last night, even though I told myself I wasn't going to, because Fuck Face (aka Dad) was in a drunken pissy mood, so I needed to get out of the house. On my way to Providence, I found an entire pack of cigarettes just chilling on the fucking sidewalk. I was like, "it's a beautiful evening...".

So, I went to hell and promised myself I'd leave by, like, 1, and I didn't, of course. I also promised myself I wouldn't drink, because I had to get up early for orientation and didn't want to be hung over, and I did, of course.
Much to my surprize. waking up at 9am afterthat wasn't all that bad, and the walk to work was actually quite pleasant.

I was there for 2 hours and then walked back. I got my schedule, and I'll post it here if anyone wants to come tease me about the dorky outfit, and maybe I'll even cut some meat for ya, who knows??

Monday: 8am-12pm training 1 (don't come on this day)
Tuesday: 10:30 am - 2:30 pm training 2 (don't come this day either)
Wednesday: 1pm-5pm come and laugh all you like.
Friday: 8am - 12pm
Saturday: 4pm-close (circa 1030)

Shitty 4 hour shifts for the first week, which is okay. He warned us that the first week would be like that, mostly because it's training. Thank God we don't have any GED testing thia week, so I can catch up on some much-needed work and rest, simultaneously.
Only thing that sucks is that I won't be able to stay all night at Hell tomorrow. I'll have to leave around midnight, at least. I'm already staying at my brother's house that night so I can go out, otherwise I would just have to wake up far too early to even bother.

Hey, my DSL seems to be working, so maybe I'll upload that Einsturzende Neubauten EP for everyone.

Tootles!

Rasputina and Random Stuff

So Rasputina was a lot of fun. It was so strange, because they were playing literally in the middle of nowhere in friggin Fall River, which is essentially desolate for good music scenes of any kind (unless you're into metal, in whihc case it apparently isn't bad). Moreover, everyone we talked to admitted to finding out about the show through Rasputina's website, so there was no promotions for the show outside of that. It was just an odd thing. But there were a crazy amount of people there. Easily over 200. Easily. The show was pretty good (except this one song towards the end that I didn't know that seemed to go on for 15 minutes, or more, and it was so boring that I nearly lost interest in the rest of the show afterwards). But they didn't play very much that I knew. The only songs that I knew that they played were "Rats", "Baracuda", and one off of Frustration Plantation that I don't remember the name of. I'm thinking they played a ton of new stuff. But the live version of "Rats' was just awesome. So yeah, the show was great, as it was the last time I saw them. Her voice is so much better live than on CD, it's so much more powerful and rock, and not as whispery.

josephy and torturedfaery showed up during it, but we didn't see them until the end, and we all went out for coffee afterwards and covered a lot of ground during a much-needed Corrosion meeting. Then we heard "Horror Stores From the Big Chair" with Joe. You wouldn't believe some of the stories that guy has about the piercing parlor.

It just hit me today how many movies I want to see.

I orientate tomorrow and start Monday *does a dance*

Have I ever mentioned just how much I hate (re: despise) living at home? Well, now would be a good time. What-the-fuck-ever.

I got so little sleep last night (actually, zero sleep last night, three hours this afternoon) and I took my Math GED test and there are about 6 or 7 questions that I know for a fact I got wrong. Two of which I am positive because I left them blank after staring blankly at the page for 3 minutes. There were problems on that test that I just totally do not have any idea how to do.

The whole world is pissing me off today, I swear.

So, I got one productive thing done today, and that was go to the Social Security Administration and get another Social Secutiry card (as my old one seems to have vanished into thin air. Luckily that shit's free). On the way back, I saw an apartment for rent sign above Stanley's on Dexter Street. It's one bedroom, with a convertable living room, kitchen and bath - off street parking, ect. ect. $580 security deposit and $150 a week. Dude. Who wants to get an apartment with me? You'd need $600 by September 1st. I heard Wes was looking for an apartment. I will totally do it now that I have a job. I can't leave until after Drop Dead, so it'd be perfect to move in in the beginning of September. Only catch - it's in Central Falls. Along a convenient bus route, but at the end of the day, it's still in Central Falls.

So how's about it?

Hopefully I'll be able to go to the Rasputina concert tonight in Fall River. It really all depends on whether Delsin and Colleen want to go, and knowing my luck, they don't. Ugh. Lame. I wish I could go with paul, but he's probobly already made set plans on getting there.

LAME.

There is a review of Faith and the Muse's "Elyria" in goth_cd_review.

I'm totally not looking forward to a Legendary Pink Dots review. I'm holding out as long as possible.

It's raining, it's pouring.

Just Kidding. It's actually too hot to move right now, but it's raining positive things on Le Dax (much to many people's dismay).

Kristian and I had our second GED test today in Writting, and at the end of the test, you have to write a literate essay on a specific topic that they give you. I was able to twist my topic enough that I was able to talk about The Legendary Pink Dots, Dead Can Dance, and Faith and the Muse (go ahead... make the bad joke that's running through your head... feel better?). So needless to say, because I was able to make it into something interesting, I aced it. Of course.

The second I get home, my stepfather tells me that East Side Marketplace called. I called back. He wants me there ASAP. I get there. I have orientation on Saturday monring at 10 and I start on Monday w00t w00t.
Go fucking me.

But it's in the deli. Ew.
But it's with Paul. *raises eyebrow*.

So, since orientation is Saturday bright and early, who wants to hang out Friday night, even if it's only an early night? I need a celebratory something for moi. But since I'll have to get up uber early for orientation, it cannot involve alcohol, illicit drugs, or staying out past 2 am. So who's up for partying with this party animal??! Leave me a comment here, or email me at my livejournal name @ yahoo dot com for either my phone number or to makle plans (Prediction: NO ONE WIL CONTACT YOU. NO ONE GIVES A SHIT).

I've decided that because I need to get laid bad enough, I'm going to track down that kid Dave who's allegedly really really hot now and have sex with him. Just once. because I could use a victory fuck, frankly.

And now off to get the sleep that I deprived myself last night.
