As some of you might know, I'm in art school. Not full time, just a painting class at the local part-time art college: 2 evenings and Saturday morning. Because I've painted quite a lot this year, I've decided to do some art posts on my blog, also :)

Camera: Agfa Isola 1
Film: Kodak T-MAX 100
Date: loaded on December 1st but photos taken between April 2 and May 3 2016
Places: Coalescaremonium, Etterbeek, Belgium - around the house
At first when I was scanning this film, I thought that 400 ISO may be too strong for the camera, as my Agfa Paramat (which is less old, but still vintage, than the Isola) clearly states it has a maximum capacity of 200 ISO film. But when I looked closer and none of the photos were actually properly square, I realised something must have gone wrong when I had it loaded at Grobet back on December 1st (it wasn't the usual guy and this guy was determined to sort it out even though he had no clue, I'm glad Bert figured out how to load it now!).
Anyway, it's not the end of the world, but in the future I'm going to stick to Kodak T-MAX 100 instead :) Because that's a great film that performs admirably in this camera and well, it's the cheapest of the T-MAX films so that's definitely an added bonus :D
Anyway, to the pictures!

Bert and I went to the Olen shoppingpark this morning, because I needed something pretty urgently for a project, and we wanted to make sure I would get it in time. Luckily some of the shops were open, despite it being a bank holiday :)
We also popped into Van Gastel, where we got some Goth Violas (I shall take a photo of those tomorrow, because I had the cat with me whilst we were planting them in the garden so I was a tad preoccupied).
I took some flower photos :)
I wish I had taken a better camera with me though!
Then I wouldn't have had to use my cellphone!

Although I may still change my mind because I took a bunch of analog photos today too.
But for now, even though it's a cellphone photo, this is today's photo.
We were tempted to buy a rhododendrum because loads of bumblebees were on them, but then we realised that those grow REALLY big, so it was not the best idea. And that's how we ended up with Goth violas (Molly Sanderson variety).

Because in Antwerp it was the annual Bollekesfeesten!
Bolleke is a beer by brewery De Koninck, which was in financial trouble a couple of years ago. But luckily, as it is one of the few indi family breweries left in Belgium (most have been usurped and had their beer ruined by InBev, the infamous home of Stella Artois, amongst MANY others) it was saved, HURRAH!
To celebrate this joyous occasion, Antwerp organises the Bollekesfeesten every year, and it's not all just about the Bolleke and other beers from brewery De Koninck, but about all kinds of small artisanal companies such as other breweries, butchers, candy, and much more. They also have bands performing around the Groenplaats and Grote Markt and such.
The past couple of years we had always missed it due to prior obligations, but this year, THIS YEAR, we could actually make it!
You may wonder why I get so enthused about something that largely seems to involve beer as I don't drink, but to be honest, I just go for the atmosphere and photo opportunities :)
