regarding some tracks..
- on medúlla, i had to replace letters that couldn't be recognized by my computer so if you download this, please visit the wikipedia page to fix the tags.
- on †, when you download it, the folder will be called "cross" and you can rename it with the character, "†". the same thing should be done when you import it into your media player. the album title is "cross" so i'd recommend doing the same thing again. i apologize for the inconvenience.

| THE KNIFE, LADYTRON, AND SUFJAN STEVENS |
[27 Apr 2007|04:24pm] |
THESE TOOK FOR-FUCKING-EVER TO UPLOAD SO PLEASE TAKE A CHANCE AND DL SOMETHING THX
Ladytron are a band formed in Liverpool, England. They take their name from the song "Ladytron" by Bryan Ferry (from Roxy Music's eponymous debut album of 1972).
Ladytron uses different elements of electronic music and songwriting to achieve their distinct sound. Ladytron's lyrics are often obscure, sometimes dominated by snippets of everyday life, and sometimes written in Bulgarian by Bulgarian bandmember Mira Aroyo. The group's live performances include live guitar, bass and drums along with the main electronic instruments. Unlike many electronic artists, Ladytron avoids using sampling in their shows, and instead play everything live using synthesizers; Albums so far have focused on a balance between pop structures and analogue electronic sound, along with some more experimental leanings. Witching Hour saw an augmentation of their sound, leading the album to be described by Pitchfork as a "quantum leap record".
ladytron - 604 50MB
ladytron - lights & magic 59MB
ladytron - witching hour 75MB
Witching Hour is pretty damn amazing. It's totally catchy, but so are the other albums. They're just a little harder to get into. Lights & Music has awesome songs such as Blue Jeans and Nuhorizons. Those are my favorites. You can watch the video for Destroy Everything You Touch which is off of Witching Hour @ link.
The Knife is an electronic indie duo from Sweden formed in 1999. The band consists of siblings Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer, who also run their own record company, Rabid Records.
One of the group's distinguishing characteristics is their unwillingness to cooperate with the media or the mainstream music scene. The group rarely makes public appearances, most of their promotional photos feature the members wearing masks, and until recently, they outright refused to perform live concerts. They use venetian masks similar to those that can be seen in the movie Eyes Wide Shut - which had its premiere the same year that The Knife was formed. Recently the group has showed themselves in public wearing masks formed as bird's beaks, similar to those used by medieval doctors.
the knife - deep cuts 85MB
the knife - silent shout 64MB
I'd download Deep Cuts first and listen to PASS THIS ON or HEARTBEATS. You can watch the video for Pass This On @ link. The video for Marble House which is off of the Silent Shout album can be seen here. And the video for Like A Pen can be seen here.
Sufjan Stevens is an American singer-songwriter and musician from Michigan. He is known for his lyrically focused and instrumentally rich songs that often relate to faith and family. Stevens has enjoyed wide critical success in the United States. He is considered part of the folk revival in indie pop, but his influences are very broad. His music has been likened to electronica[1] and the minimalism of Steve Reich.[2] Stevens has announced plans to make a concept album for each of the 50 U.S. states, having begun the series with Michigan (2003) and Illinois (2005).
sufjan stevens - seven swans 63MB
sufjan stevens - songs for christmast vol. 5 55MB
sufjan stevens - illinois 136MB
sufjan stevens - greetings from michigan: the great lakes 61MB
sufjan stevens - a sun came! 89MB
sufjan stevens - the avalanche 112MB
sufjan stevens - enjoy your rabbit 92MB
sufjan stevens - outtakes & rarities 74MB (compilation of unreleased songs or w/e)
I would suggest downloading Illinois or A Sun Came first before downloading anything else. Enjoy Your Rabbit is fully instrumental and also fully electronic MAKING IT BEAUTIFUL TO LISTEN TO.
fired up! - various artists 67MB

Album: A Sun Came!
Artist: Sufjan Stevens
Tracks: 21

Size: 78MB
Link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/s37jly
Favorites: Super Sexy Woman, Ya Leil, A Sun Came, Joy!Joy!Joy!
( Sufjan Stevens's other albumsCollapse )
I'd like to point out that a lot of his songs are instrumental, but they're beautiful, so they're worth a listen. Especially a couple of songs on A Sun Came, Enjoy Your Rabbit (every song is instrumental, experimental), and Illinois, and all of his other albums.
Also, if you're into icons and graphics, I just updated a community I post my icons at. It's distinctview. :)
