Because of a certain journal's week of pip pic spam, and my ensuing attempts to make dirtydirty captions for them, I was inspired to create lotrpiccaptions- a community based around creating captions for various LOTR pictures.
I'm going to post the first pic, and then in my admittedly very subjective opinion, I'll choose which submitted caption made me laugh the most- then that person posts the next week's pic and chooses the winner and so on.
-Pictures simply have to do with LotR and can be paintings, movie stills, or production shots (i.e. actors in costume)
-Pictures need not be in an lj cut, but MUST be no more than 350x350 px and no more than 150 kb. I've been on a 28K modem, so I know how frustrating even loading user pictures can be.
-If a pic violates the community rules, I'll remove it, and ask the poster to crop/edit/resize until it fits.
-If there's an unduly long pause between any stage of the process (i.e. 5 or more days) I'll either choose a winner/post a pic myself.
And the most important rule:
HAVE FUN, AND DON'TPANICTAKE THIS SERIOUSLY.
