Did you ever want to be in Dumbledore's Army defying Umbridge and the Ministry? Did you ever want to be in the Order of the Phoenix fighting against Voldemort? Well, now's your chance! The Harry Potter Alliance is like Dumbledore's Army for Muggles (except we all know we're really witches and wizards). With the HPA, you can be just like Harry, Ron, Hermione and the rest of the DA (or if you prefer, Order!). The Harry Potter Alliance is dedicated to stopping genocide, poverty, and illiteracy, and believes in equality and the lessons of the Harry Potter series. Through analogies based on the books, the HPA raises awareness and money to do all of this and more! Whether your a book fan or movie fan, you can do your part by joining the HPA! Be a part of your very own DA and help the world! |
Are you looking to be a part of the Harry Potter Alliance and in San Francisco? If you are, then you're in luck! The Lovegood League was founded on the 19th of November, 2009 by  eerisedda after discovering that there was not yet a chapter of the HPA in the Bay Area. Thankfully, there is now! But we're still small and we need you to join and help us grow and spread the word! Whether you're just helping us plan events, do outreach, or donating food, money, or books, every little bit helps!The Lovegood League is anxious to take on all kinds of issues from LGBT Rights to raising awareness about depression and bullying, The League is dedicated and ready for action! So don't be shy! Join The Lovegood League today!!! |
It's important that we all have fun and make friends while working together in our DA! To do that, it's important to follow a few simple rules: 1. Please be courteous to your fellow League members. We may all be different, but we're all living beings with hearts that bleed and break. It's important to maintain a happy and healthy atmosphere, and rude, arrogant, ignorant, hateful comments will not be tolerated. If you disagree with someone, that's fine, but don't start name-calling and don't try to tear someone's ideas down. 2. Only post things that relate to the HPA, the Lovegood League, or any other chapters of the HPA. This includes meetings, events, ideas for fundraising, issues to take on, discussion topics relating to such things, and news. If you're not sure if something is okay to post, just message eerisedda.3. Be active, please. Whether that's here, Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, or in person, do your part as a member of the League. 4. Spread the word. While this can't be enforced, if you tell at least one friend about the League and they tell one friend and they tell one friend... well, that's a lot of friends! 5. Sign up for the HPA mailing list, please! It's very important that you do this because you'll need to stay up to date on the goings on of not just this chapter but the whole HPA. |
