I have a goal: To reach the maximum possible score of 999,999 (in challenge mode) ten times, to fill up the top score screen.
I am now halfway there.

Beat Lumines.
Thats right, i beat it. Unlocked everything. All characters, all skins, all mine.
As of last night, all i had left to accomplish was 999,999 on challenge mode. As of 15 minutes ago, i had beaten that. I reached the maximum possible score after 2 Hours 20 Minutes of play time. I was on the skin 'lights', on the second time through (the skins loop after you go through them all.. lights is the last one). I was on level 206.
And yeah. The final skin isnt that great. My personal favorite is tin toy.
I wonder if there will be a sequel. Until then, i'll need something else to fill my time/heart/soul/mind.
Anyone played Mercury? Seems more movement/action than puzzle-based. Any input on it? |

So yeah... It's 3:30, and i meant to go to bed at midnight. But after lying in bed playing lumines for 2 hours, i wasnt tired anymore. I'm usually down there playing till 6 AM or so, but since i've made a lot of progress recently, i haven't much left to accomplish, and therefore less to entertain myself with.
My scores:
Challenge Mode: 662,894 (1:49 Play Time)
60 Seconds: 56 Squares
180 Seconds: 152 Squares
300 Seconds: 255 Squares
600 Seconds: 506 Squares
Vs. CPU Completed.
Puzzle Mode Completed.
Just need to get that 999,999 in challenge mode. I'm estimating that game will last about 3 hours...

So have you gone and bought the Mondo Grosso albums and the Eri Nobuchika single just to get the music from Lumines? I know I have. Downloading them just isn't cricket. Now to find the MG album that has Shake Your Body and to get the Lumines soundtrack album from Play Asia and I'll be happy! :)
(incidentally best score is just over 510k in Challenge and 47 squares in 60 seconds, so average.) |
