I'm Rachel and I'm 18. I'm from southern California. I'm kinda shy and really dorky. I'm a band geek. I'm pseudo-artsy. I'm a liberal and I am politically aware.I am rather opinionated but please don't let that stop you from getting to know me. I respect people from all walks of life and just because we have different political stances doesn't mean we can't be buddies.I love music and have an extensive cd collection (if anyone wants to trade some cds show me your list and I'm sure we can work something out).

Some of my current obsessions would be Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Lost, Shrek, Star Wars (the original trilogy, the new one makes me sad), Queer as Folk, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Invader Zim. The list could go on for hours. I love movies and books.

I can't stand Homophobia, Racism, Ignorance, Discrimination, Carrots, Chemistry, or Black Licorice.

I think guys in either eyeliner or glasses are hot. I think tea is God's one true gift to mankind. I adore pins and hope to fully adorn my messenger bag with them over the next semster. I take pictures all the time, sometimes of uninteresting things.

Hey guys,
I'm looking for another penpal.

What exactly am I looking for?

Preferably a Canadian Resident, I don't particularily have a ton of money so I'd like to spend only the 50 cents or whatever on Canadian postage. Anywhere else costs too much. I am looking for people with similar interests.

A little about myself:
Hi, I'm 18 I live in Vernon, British Columbia. I volunteer for a lot of things: The Boys and Girls club, the Allan Brooks Nature Centre, O'Keefe Ranch and more. I work in Vernon for a local Magazine called Off-Centre, it's a great mag! I also work with local bands and promoters to put on shows here locally. I run a website (http://www.vernonmusic.sphosting.com) for the local music scene. I love all kinds of music but I really like Powerpop (like; The Posies, The Pixies, The Jellyfish, etc.) and Punk (Like; Rise Against, Coheed and Cambria, Story of the Year) I really love independant artists who need help to make it big... I'm a big fan of many of them... if you have any local bands where you live I would love to trade you demos or anything I can. I collect postcards so the occasional postcard would be nice!

well only so much time to use the computer an a slow ass connection so not really to type much about my self. i am in iraq now an since i am able to write letters an read themmore so then play with e-mail. can reply to this though not to sure when i will be able to answer back. next few days are the most i will be able to or have been able to get online.

so ya i am in iraq doing security for convoys.. so that some preaty cools shit an got some kick ass pictures an tape that i have been taking latly.
i am soon to be 23 an in the air force.. not the army. damn time is up so if want to know more e-mail me or write.
