I'm not deleting my lj because my entire pregnancy and Lennon's life up until now are chronicled on here, and I still want to participate in certain communities. I'm removing everyone from my friends list instead. Don't take it personally, because everyone is getting removed. I still need somewhere to vent, but I don't want anyone to read it. I'm not putting new posts private because I want to give everyone the option to delete me if they want and have it be mutual. I need to spend some time in my own head without having judgment or suggestions from anyone else. Please don't take this personally, I'm definitely not referring to anyone specific.

In a few weeks I will begin a new lj. I just want to start over. I'm in a different place now than I was when I began this lj, and I want to the new one to be symbolic of a fresh start. I'm just not ready for that fresh start yet.

I will post my new lj username on here for those who want to add my new one when I make it. If you'd like to be friends on my new lj, you can keep me added here or you can check back if you remember to. Whatever.

If you'd like to keep in contact for any reason, I will still be active on Facebook.

Bye, for a while.

There's a few people on my list where we've mutually added each other, but I really don't know who you are or you never update. Due to the content in my journal, I'd rather just keep it between people I know a little better (if only from them updating regularly) from here on out. Don't take it personally if I cut you. <3

no power in woodlands for 2-4 weeks. On our way to apt to get clothes. Few stores an gas stations open - all have insane lines out the door or forever down the road. Most miserable night ever - so fucking hot and humid. No breeze until a giant epic thunderstorm came thru. The damage from the wind is insane. No cell service and internet on phone goes in and out Update later.

The speech that Governor Palin gave was well delivered, but it was written by George Bush's speechwriter and sounds exactly like the same divisive, partisan attacks we've heard from George Bush for the last eight years. If Governor Palin and John McCain want to define 'change' as voting with George Bush 90% of the time, that's their choice, but we don't think the American people are ready to take a 10% chance on change," said Bill Burton, Obama Campaign Spokesman.

McCain advisor Charlie Black on questions about Sarah Palin's foreign policy competence. "She's going to learn national security at the foot of the master for the next four years, and most doctors think that he'll be around at least that long."

If there was any doubt left among voters, pundits, and politicos alike that John McCain's selection of Sarah Palin was based purely on politics, tonight's speech should lay to rest any notion that Republicans chose their candidate based on anything other than a shallow political calculus.

With her snarky, amateurish, almost Student Council-like speech, Palin proved today that she can attack like a candidate for vice-president. And she demonstrated that she can support the top of the ticket like a candidate for vice-president.

But nowhere in her speech did she demonstrate that she can be vice-president. She's still the former Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska*, who didn't even know what the vice-president did until a couple weeks ago, who admitted that she doesn't pay attention to Iraq, who's stonewalling investigations into her alleged misconduct, and who took advantage of the very earmark process she claims to be against.

In sum, she demonstrated that while she can serve as the second person on a ticket, she is unquestionably not ready to serve as the second most powerful person in the world.

*

Oh, and have you heard about how she voted for Alaska to secede from the union? She doesn't even WANT to be part of the United States...and we should elect her?
