At the end of this month HR 646, The Federal Acupuncture Coverage Act of 2009 will be voted upon. This Act will provide for coverage of acupuncture services under Medicare and all Federal Employees' Health Benefits programs.

Passage of HR 646 would mean that 25 million people who could receive acupuncture as a part of their covered health plan.

The best medium with which to write in support of HR646 is an old-fashioned one--handwritten, paper letters. Note that the deadline for letters to be submitted is approaching fast! All letters should be submitted to the AAAOM National Office no later than May 20, 2009.

New Pregnancy/Childbirth Site (x-posted several places) [01 Apr 2009|06:12pm]

manifestress
Passing this along here - for expectant and new moms, and those who provide services for them.

Hello! We visited your website and saw that you offered Pregnancy Massage
services. As such, we would love to invite you to add your business to our
new Womb to Bloom directory, which has been designed for new and expectant
moms.

We're a husband and wife team and the feedback on our site has been
wonderful thus far. We're simply contacting massage therapists who offer
prenatal massage and inviting those who are certified or licensed so that
we can create a comprehensive Maternity & Baby services directory.
There are no fees associated with our directory and there are no hidden
gotchas or anything like that. :)

If you have a few moments you can view http://www.wombtobloom.com/vendors
to register or to read more details. I'm sure you'll find our program to be
quite rewarding and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to
email me direct.

Thank you and I hope to welcome you to our directory!

Ephemeral Mists [20 Feb 2009|10:32pm]

worldfusiongirl

Ephemeral Mists is the newest side project by composer Brett Branning (The synthetic dream foundation & Abandoned Toys). The debut album, "Moon Ritual" is out now on Mythical records.

The sound of the project is best described as downtempo ambient electronics mixed with ethnic world musics in the vein of "Karma" era Delerium, Amethystium, and Robert rich. Its really a very intoxicatingly beautiful creation and I highly recommend it to anyone into ambient music styles. I'm looking forward to further releases by this band.

Insurance Billing for NMT and Massage [04 Aug 2008|10:37am]

manifestress
I've been in practice for about 20 years, and have just moved to Albuquerque. My new husband does a lot of auto accident and personal injury cases at his law firm, and he is going to send me all the people from those - and in New Mexico I can get reimbursed from the insurance companies.

What experience do you have with this? What do you know about all the codes, etc.?

My husband will be doing the settlements, etc., so I know I will get paid (eventually).

Any help is sincerely appreciated.

Review a book about Healing and the Law of Attraction [12 May 2008|01:52pm]

carmelncal
I am working right now to promote a book, Soul Discovery: 9 Principles for Revealing Your Sacred Gifts. Author Joan Marie invites people to “dance with their soul,” and changes lives as she awakens her readers to their true life’s purpose and their soul’s sacred gifts.
Joan Marie is a very popular medium and has been a guest on numerous radio and television shows across the country, like the Whoopi Goldberg Show. Whoopi Goldberg has even endorsed her book, saying “Sometimes, people are just born with "it". They can hear your voice and be able to tell you all about yourself. Joan Marie seems to be able to tap into that thing that makes us all human. I've been around her; I've seen her do her thing”. If you would like to learn more about heightening and developing your intuition and how Joan Marie utilizes the Law of Attraction, email me at chelseasterling@gmail.com to review the book on your blog. After you review the book, you will receive a free teleseminar with Joan Marie and get an opportunity to get personal advice.

Have a great day!

Community Healing Arts & the Circle of Life [14 Apr 2008|12:13am]

karamaia
I am working to open a family healing arts center in my community to provide a spectrum of care for infants to adults, including midwifery, craniosacral therapy, chiropractic, parent groups, childbirth ed, and workshops. My passion is craniosacral, doula care, teaching, and community organizing.

This will happen within the next year, and I am currently gathering resources, developing my business plan, and working with local community small business resources to create a solid plan and support system. I also have practitioners interested and a space lined up for 2009.

I am also a hoopdancer and teacher, and I am in a contest to win $10,000 for my hoopdance video: Gemini Hoops. http://www.clipstar.com/videopage.jsf?video=9_7002_159

Will you please vote for my video and help to fund the creation of my healing arts center? I am currently in 2nd place, and if I win this contest, it will go toward to creation of my family healing arts center and community healing project.

Thank you! I greatly appreciate your support! Your vote counts, please show your support!

My Experiences [31 Mar 2008|02:33pm]
newjerseyman
Well, I am bad at introductions, but here is goes. My name is Noah and I have suffered from autism and a host of other degenerative diseases for my whole life. However, I recently started a new diet that has proven to be at least somewhat effective for me. The diet basically consists of cutting out all unnatural substances, such as artificial flavors and colors, but also many other substances that are labeled as natural, but are, in fact, as synthetic and dangerous as aspartame, just to name an example.

The substances I've avoided include corn syrup, which is actually an extremely deceptive label - corn syrup is a completely synthetic chemical, and even though it's made from corn, it does not occur naturally in any food whatsoever. Corn syrup actually is only a few decades old, and actually was almost outlawed by the FDA. However, the FDA gave into pressure from food industry lobbyists, even though research had shown that corn syrup is a very dangerous chemical that damages the entire nervous system, screws up blood sugar levels, depletes the body's nutrients, causes anxiety, irritability and fatigue, increases hunger and causes weight gain. It is a major cause of diabetes as well as obesity.

Other substances that I avoid now include:
*Wheat - very difficult to digest.
*Sugar - messes up blood sugar levels and depletes the body's nutrients.
*Cow's milk - very difficult to digest.
*Cheese (except for goat cheese) - even more difficult to digest than cow's milk.
*Canned foods - contain tons of toxins, nearly impossible to digest properly.
*Flour - this may come as a surprise, but it turns out that flour actually consists of the shell of grains. In other words, wheat flour is just the husk of the wheat seeds with the wheat germ removed, which contains most of the nutrition found in the wheat seeds. Eating flour is therefore about as healthy as eating a cardboard box. Sprouted grain, on the other hand, still has the whole grain, but breads labeled as "whole grain" that aren't made from sprouted grain do NOT actually have whole grains in them. Yet another deception by the food industry.
*Fermented foods - very difficult to digest, harmful to the digestive tract.
*All synthetic chemicals, like artificial flavors, caffeine, alcohol, etc.

Foods I've eaten alot of include:
*Cooked vegetables (except potatoes, yams, and other tubers) - very easy to digest, and high in nutrients and minerals.
*Goat milk - easy to digest, safer than cow's milk.
*Sprouted grains - actually the way nature intended them to be.
*Fresh fruits (but not fruit juice) - good source of safer sugars that don't metabolize too quickly and thereby screw up blood sugar levels.
*All foods I eat are now organic - pesticides in our food really do harm us!

This diet, as I said before, has helped me quite a bit. Try it out for awhile - you'll feel calmer and more energetic.

Best Wishes,

Noah

Free Website Listings [27 Mar 2008|07:29am]

Over the past several years, I've signed up to over 10 different "free" websites to promote my practice.

Many, I have promptly forgotten about.

I'd like to compile a list. What "free" (or low cost) websites are you listed on?

I recently found out about -

and

http://massagetherapydatabase.com

(they had some misspelled words, which I brought to their attention)

Himalayan Goji Juice anyone? [26 Jan 2008|01:02am]

cammybeoulve
[ mood | healthy ^^ ]

I rarely endorse any product but this one got my interest and attention... really. My aunt is using it 'til now. She has a cyst at uterus and was set for an operation. She just told me the other day that she's been drinking this great product for a month now and it eases her pain. When she went back to the doctor a while ago for the operation, the doctor told her that miraculously her cyst now is almost gone. I got interested by this product. I asked my aunt where she bought this "miracle juice", as she calls it and she told me the details.

I searched for other's people testimony in our place who uses this product and I found out that it has really great effect in the general wellness of our body. I tried a small amount of it for my migraine a while ago and after just half an hour my migraine was gone. It's really hard to believe, yeah I know but I guess you should try it for yourself. So, I'm just sharing you the good news. I immediately signed up for membership so that I can buy it cheap not to mention the added business opportunity that it offers. But I think the product will speak for itself.

They gave me a free website to share this great product, you can try it for yourself guys. Here are some testimonials too. ^^
