Age of Apocalypse

23 August 2007 @ 07:56 pm

Title: I Understand
Author: Wyzeguy
Universe: Age of Apocalypse, prior to the Gambit and the X-Ternals mini-series.
Characters/Pairing: Jubilation Lee/Everett Thomas; assorted characters from more recent X-Men comics
Rating: T
Challenge: Love
Summary: Jubilee's lost love, and the choice she made
Warnings: The AoA-verse really ain't a fun place to visit, so be prepared for harshness and adult situations, even amongst adolescents.
Notes: Originally posted to

This idea had been kicking around in my head for years. In Gambit and the X-Ternals #1, narrative captions gave hints about Jubilee's past prior to joining Gambit's team, and part of it involved Everett Thomas, who became the Generation X member Synch in the core comics but who died in AoA. So this is my interpretation of that backstory, with a lot of liberties taken.

After the Age...

Posted with Mod permission (cuz you guys are awsome :D)

Apocalypse's war is over. His followers have scattered following his demise at the hands of Magneto. Scattered, but not gone, they still cause many problems.

After the fall of Wundagore, Magneto sanctioned the rescue and collection of many mutant children. Their location was kept secret, even from the other X-Men. Now that the war is over, these kids have been relocated to Base X, in what was once sprawling countryside in upstate New York.

Now is the time to rebuild.

What role will you play?

Sabretooth/Blinkness

luckystar37's ficlet has awakened my Sabretooth/Blink muse... well, it was sort of mutual, since I asked for that pairing ;-) Anyway, the ficlet inspired this doodle. It's still far from satisfying, but I thought I'd share all the same.

Plus, another piece I found in my older entries.

That's all for now... Hope to post more in future - I'm an AoA whore ;-)

Fic: Bedtime Routines (POV Challenge)

Title: Bedtime Routines
Author:

willowaus
Characters/Pairing: Charles Leshnerr, Magneto/Rogue
Verse: Age of Apocalypse
Rating: K
Summary: Charles spends some quality time with one of his parents.
A/N: For the POV challenge at

marvel_aoa. From Charles's POV, baby's POVs are hard to write. Thanks to

aussirayne for looking this over. And for those who don't know the AoA universe, Rogue and Magneto are married, Magneto is the leader of the X-Men and they have a little boy named Charles. :)

Fic Snippet: AoA Sabretooth

I don't know if this is allowed as a) it is old and b) it's AoA/Exiles, not just AoA (although the characters involved are AoA characters).

But I still thought I'd post the ficlet as I like to see activity on this comm. :) Please let me know if it violates the rules in any way, mmmkay?
