The purpose of this community is to function as a database of experiences with piercers, tattoo artists, scarification/branding artists, and all other practitioners of body modification.
Some basic rules about posting:
1. One experience per post, unless they are experiences about the same artist/shop. If you join with multiple experiences at hand, post them all at once in different posts -- I really don't care if you flood the community that way.
2. Please clearly state the location in which this experience happened (i.e.: Boston, Massachusetts). This is so posts can be tagged appropriately. (city: Boston, state: Massachusetts. Mods will create city tags as needed.)
3. If your post regards any specific artist(s), please use names if you can recall them.
4. Don't forget the shop name!
5. Mentioning the date of the experience and the dates of following pictures/developments is highly encouraged. (Don't worry, we're not expecting the exact day.)
6. Posting pictures = winning the internet.
7. This is not the place to ask "Where can I find someone who can _____?" or "Can you recommend any good _______ in or near _______?". This is a database of experiences only.
8. Please don't post about your friend who bought a tattoo gun or pierced your ear with a safety pin ~*~sterilized~*~ in bactine. Save that sort of thing for BME Experiences. The point of this community is to guide people towards/away from certain artists and studios, not to tell stories 'round the campfire.
9. You may, however, post cautionary reviews of shops at which you have not personally been pierced or tattooed as long as you follow these guidelines.

This format helps keep all experiences as easy to browse through as possible. If you can't include some of the non-vital information (e.g. the date or website), just omit it entirely instead of leaving it blank.
