Too lazy to be stupid

The last time I dyed it was halfway through August, I can't complain about how long that blue dye lasted! It's Directions Atlantic Blue. I wanted a tune-up so I added a fresh splash of purple.

My shape can use a tune-up too, so yesterday I went to aquarobics class for the first time in too many months. I intend to go every week again, it's not horrible at all, I like the people, and it's so good for me. Now I feel all sporty and healthy.

This is the hat that elhamisabel  knitted for me! It's gorgeous. The lettering says 'resist' and the pattern that goes along the rim is derived from the (American) symbol for resistance as used in electronics. It's also exactly the right colour. So I wrote a thank-you limerick. I will wear this hat to the hackerspace tomorrow and people will envy me.


The hat that you lovingly knit
is pleasing in form and in fit
Plus lovely in hue
so what I will do
is wear it, and thank you for it.

Those of you who have met me know that my user icon actually represents my hair colour... during the first three weeks after I've dyed it, of course. After that, it gradually bleaches to a washed-out reddish hue.
Usually, right after stoneshop  cuts it, I dye it eggplant colour again, to get rid of the odd two-tone effect (because most of the dye has grown out by then).
This time, when he had finished cutting my hair and asked me to check how I liked it, I held the mirror behind me to look at the back of my head (using a second mirror that's on the wall), saw the familiar contrast of the reddish dyed part and my own greyish-blonde colour, and decided I liked it.
So, because it's nice to do things different every now and then, I dyed only the front part, so I'd have three colours.
The result is rather funky!


It's not easy to take a picture of your own head, but it'll do. You can see my own hair colour at the roots, the reddish/pinkish locks on top (which aren't exactly as pink as it looks here, but it all depends greatly on lighting), and the dark purplish hue near the front. I think I like it!
