Tomorrow I'm headed off for the weekend to an anime convention. I doubt there'll be computer access so I'll be absent until Sunday night or Monday. I just wanted to let everyone know if I don't respond to RP, that's why.

Oh yeah, and one thing about Rita. Remember how she's an Animagus? Well, I'll be having her aquire that feature at Hogwarts, so if you'd like to torture your character with personal information, just give me a ring. I'd never do anything without asking (that's not public), but I know Rita'd love to. Also, she's still "working" on her form, so if you'd like to have a chat where it something goes wrong during her transformation or she transforms back before meaning to, etc. Just let me know ;) Articles are fun, but I've got to vary Rita's ways.

Plus, she's not a perfect devil reporter, she's bound to make mistakes at one time or another ;)

*clears throat* Now that I'm done quoting the Worm in Labyrinth, let me introduce myself...

The name is Gough (pronounced like cough, Welsh in origin). I am the third player to attempt at mastering the legend of James Potter. In an attempt to revive old hearts and draw the past two Jameses together, I am using Jared Leto for icons. And after researching old entries and roleplay logs, I'm beginning to develop a sense of James' basic personality. Bear with me in the coming weeks/months, as it usually takes a little for me to settle into a role -- particularly one that's been fussed with before (twice!).

I do have a few minor adjustments, which are typical to my portrayal of James.
~One: I have a certain fetish for trenchcoats and dusters. Since Sirius has already secured the position of Leather-Jacket!Cliche, I've taken the liberty of granting James a brown duster (which is very similar to a trenchcoat, just not black and a little more well-worn) as a Christmas present.
~Two: My Jameses are usually quite arrogant, which means you either hate him, or you love him. This also means my James may have a tendancy to incite fights with Slytherins -- any Slytherin. James will often throw aside his wand, even though his hexing and jinxing capabilities are unquestionable, to throw a punch or two.
~Three: James has been head-over-heels for Lily Evans for years, though only really admitted his affections for Lily as of the end of Fifth Year. Now, naturally, James assumes (since he himself has recognized his love), Lily should return his feelings. Of course, that is why James is ever-so persistent and confident. His feelings are no longer a secret, though I understand there are some complications with their history at the moment. Again, bear with me as I try to adjust to the pseudo-relationship.

Admittedly, my journal entries are usually rare (though I will strive to update regularly), but I am always around for RP. And I do mean always. (Well, I do have school...) My general hours are 7 PM to 3 AM, Eastern Standard Time, on weekdays and just about all day on weekends.

One might call me somewhat experienced in the art of roleplay. I'm currently a member of Phoenix Ashes, When Worlds Collide, Point Me, Deletrius, and Patronus (a RPG I created and moderate). Of course, it's sometimes difficult to juggle my dozen or so characters, so again excuse me if I'm addle-brained.

I promise I shall try my best... and please give me a ring sometime.

I've been trying to find some events in 1977 that might have effected the wizarding world. I haven't found all that many yet, and I'm trying to find a weather review for 1977 for Britain, but luck would have it that I can't find a thing.
However, I did find out that it was the Queen's Silver Jubliee on June 7th. Not sure if that'll have anything to do with the wizarding world, but it'll certainly effect any muggle born characters.

Oh, and another interesting bit on info. 1977 is the Chinese year of the snake. Thought that might be interesting for any Voldemort/Dark Artsey developments.
