Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai

When Kodaka Hasegawa finds out that he will be transferring to a new school, he is determined to make a positive impression, and maybe even some friends. However, Kodaka discovers he is out of luck when he immediately gets labeled as a violent delinquent due to his blond hair and intimidating expression. Although a month has passed, Kodaka is still alone thanks to his notorious reputation. However, his life begins to change when he finds fellow loner Yozora Mikazuki talking to her imaginary friend in an empty classroom.

After sharing stories of their lonely high school life, Kodaka and Yozora decide to overcome the difficulties of making friends together by starting the Neighbor's Club. Created for people who don't have friends, daily activities involve learning social skills and how to fit in, which will hopefully allow them to make friends. Joined by the eroge-loving Sena Kashiwazaki, and other eccentric outcasts, Kodaka may finally have managed to find people he can call friends, in this club filled with hilarious oddballs.

Laughter is the best medicine and there is nothing better for laughing than an anime where all the girls have resting bitch face and act like bitches too. All the plot cycles around some girls acting silly at an after-school club. Which isn't much for plot, but is enough for the comedy to seep through.

Sadly season 2 does away with the resting bitch faces. But season 1 was a riot.
Only bad thing I can think of S1 is that black hair RBF's treatment of bond hair RBF is borderline harassment some of the time. But it isn't so bad that I had to put the ... show down.

Mixed Feelings

carried almost entirely by the characters; lots of beautiful irony in seeing such awkward and incongruous personalities together in a club of supposed friends. any plot at all would've been appreciated, but its absence is much easier to forgive with such interesting character dynamics, even if sena and yozora's constant bickering does get somewhat grating by the end. your mileage may vary, though.

if you're only watching this show because of big brother earrape, as did i: that scene is from the second season, which i found to be a soul-sucking waste of time. your time is much better spent elsewhere.

Horrible anime that didnt have more than a single funny moment per episode. The ecchi is overdone and on characters that are way too young to be sexualized and even look like they are too young. Also, the characters have essentialy no character development and the creator of the anime feels the need to chew everything about the plot and spit into our mouths, instead of letting us think.

Genuinely a waste of time. The characters are all deeply flawed and have their entire personalities revolve against a single quirk. I cant fathom how this anime can have a score of almost 7.5 and i wish ... i had never seen it.
