We Are hxC indie rock kids like woah

Are you fed-up with garbage, full-of-shit sites where nobody actually communicates, such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter? Do you wish your old friends who've migrated to those sites would return to LiveJournal? The the_lj_revival community has been set up with that aim in mind, and you are invited to join it. If you are already on LiveJournal and still have a Facebook profile, and would like to see more people returning to LJ or setting up accounts here, we invite you to post a link to this community on your Facebook Timeline. If you would like to find out who is still using LiveJournal and make contact with those who are already here, you are invited to copy and paste the 'about me' questions on the profile page and post them with your answers to the community.

( Hello.Collapse )

Hey, here are some albums that you all might like,

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
The release was delayed for copyright reasons, and then they were allowed to release the cds that were already printed but the cover would have to be changed for future printings, and now the release is like July 5. Now that i've said that, this is an awesome album that i have no idea how to describe. Just check it out for sure.

Clap You Hands Say Yeah - Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
Really good album. Sounds like a mix between the Talking Heads, and Interpol, i guess. Either way I really like it.

Beulah - The Coast Is Never Clear
If you haven't heard these guys, you should. Really good experimental pop music from the Elephant 6 collective, it even has a horn section.

Ben Folds - Songs For Silverman
Excellent CD, includes a song written for Elliott Smith: "Late". I like it a lot.

i recently got Stephen Malkmus' new album too, but haven't gotten to listen to it enough to form an opinion, so yeah

and i got an Elliott Smith bootleg from 2000, great quality, i can yousendit it to anyone who wants it, just leave an email address

i also see we have new members who i don't know, and don't say anything.

So i bought some new music that i adore.

*Well Pavement is an old favorite but i love the song Unfair.
*A.C. Newman Rules
*The Comas
*Rouge Wave
*Longwave
*More Apples in Stereo
*And interpols new song, but they try to hard to be like Slint in it.
*Xiu Xiu mother fucker!!!

Hey guys, it's close to 4 am and i can't really sleep so, i figured i'd post on here
I've really gotten into post-rock largely instrumental type stuff lately, bands such as Godspeed You! Black Emporer, Mogwai, and Explosions in The Sky, also, a little Slint. I've known about Slint and Godspeed for some time now, i never really liked Godspeed until recently, and i've liked Slint since i first heard them.

yeah so my point is, what do you all think of these bands, and are there anymore bands like this i should check out?

oh yeah and completely off topic, is anyone else going to either Bob Dylan Wednesday or Wilco Thursday? i should be at both of those shows, should be a good time.
