Political discussion is known to take place in many of the other fine New Jersey communities on LiveJournal, however it is sometimes poorly received and diffuclt to locate among advertisements for local bands and complaints about traffic. So here it is folks, your one-stop-shopping center for all things political and New Jersery. Spread the word! Community Guidelines:
1) Be on topic: Posts should relate somehow to New Jersey and politics. Pretty much anything related goes as "on topic": State, local or county political races/discussions - news stories about political figures or of general political interest, etc. Spam posts will be eliminated with extreme prejudice.
2) As long as there are no outrageous personal attacks or hate speech, posts will be allowed to stand no matter how "offensive" they are. Debate and discussion isn't always pretty - do your best to keep it at a civilized level and hopefully everyone else will as well.
3) Place large images or lengthy quotes from news articles behind an LJ-cut.
4) Do not disable comments when making a new post/thread. This is a discussion community, after all.
