what i do when i'm bored
I usually find some new internet game to play while at work. A lot of things are blocked by our firewall but a few aren't. The most recent game I've been playing is zelderex online. hey this is a new thing for me and i was just trying to meet some people! So HI how is everyone? Hey Everyone! Sorry if this is offtopic, but right now, it's desperate. This summer, my friend won a contest to make a movie with Winterfresh gum. He got to pick a teen crew to help him and I was on it. Anyways, right now, it's competing online against a team from Iowa. Today is the last day of the contest, it ends at 11:59 pm PST and we are LOSING right now. We really, really, really need everyone to vote! We worked so hard on this, and it's been so much of my life since it started, I'm really going to be so so upset if we lose. hey im new here and i searched for a community like this after driving around aimlessly with my friends today saying "what do you wanna do?" or "think of something to do..." so i figured id share some of what we do and hopefully you guys can give us some good ideas to try when we're bored. -manhunt at the elementary schools nearby -dont-touch-the-ground tag ( played at a playground with those huge combined structures where you have to catch people by jumbing from around from slide to monkey bars without touching the ground) -dodgeball on a trampoline. those are a few things, but theyre getting old so pleaaase any other creative ideas on stuff to do? Im Christy. Im 19 and I live in boring Burbank Ca. I know alot of people dont think that this town is boring because we are so close to Hollywood and what not but seriously, this whole town shuts down by 10:00. And to make matters worse, the police here are horrible. They do nothing but drive around trying to get teenagers in trouble. Its pretty shitty. Bored me? Yep.
Ok, so I finished school (with honors) last December. I was supposed to start university this Feb., but my dad got really sick last year (lung cancer, he's better, thanks for asking) and he had to move to another city with my mom for two months to get medical treatment. Results: I couldn't get my applications for university and right now I'm stuck at home. My friends are studying right now or too far away to go visit. However, they're really busy. What do I do? I wake up every single morning, get breakfast and watch some TV or go right to the computer. What else? Whatever comes. Like three weeks ago, I went with the choir I belong to to Cartagena to this presentation. Or like tomorrow, which is my birthday. My friends are coming and I plan to spend a great time. Stupid stuff YOU can do! :D
Pretend to be a millionaire. Go into really expensive stores around town. Try on all the nice clothes you know you'd NEVER be able to afford. Some small ideas
This summer I've got a few ideas for stuff to do One weekend I'm going to take a picnic lunch, go with my boyfriend, & drive until we get lost :D Last time we did this, I made up weird stories about the places we were driving in (example: See those red bushes? They're stained with blood. There's no civilization here, people eat each other. This road's in such bad condition because they WANT your car to break down) I know it sounds sick, but it was REALLY funny when we were stopped at a stop sign & some old guy was walking slowly towards us, wearing a red shirt... *giggles* Also, I'm going to do some researching & find some gem mines, & we're gonna go digging for gems :D When the weather gets a bit warmer, but before the snow is gone, we're gonna build anatomically correct snowmen in the park :D | | Tuesday, February 25th, 2003 | 12:30 pm

They mentioned something in my previous post that I think should be mentioned out in the open Go to a local travel agent, & ask about bus trips! I know of one here that takes you to Casino Niagara for the day, lunch included ($11 buffet) & it's only $5 per person!!! Great deal! :D & I'm sure there's other bus trips, either for a day, a weekend, or a week, that wouldn't cost very much :D | | Monday, February 24th, 2003 | 1:55 pm

Nothing to do?
well, it's not really something i've done, more something I'm planning on doing I live in Ontario, Canada, so I went to the local Chapters (great place to hang out & read btw!) & bought a book on true ghost stories from my area This summer, my boyfriend & I are planning on driving around to the places close to us & investigating the stories to see if they're true, & visiting the places mentioned. Not sure if anyone else would be interested in doing something like this, but thought I'd mention it anyways :D | 1:32 pm

I live in a maddeningly dull southern town, which I was forced to move to as a result of work transfer. (**BLECH!**) This is a GREAT idea for a community! Although, I don't have anything to contribute at this particular point in time, I am sure things will come to mind and I can't wait to start stealing people's ideas for entertainment. Welcome
Hey, welcome to the community! Feel free to tell us what YOU do when there's nothing to do. I live in a really boring town, & unless you like the bar scene, or you like coffee, there's really nothing to do at night. Which is why I started this community. I'm hoping to get more ideas for what to do at night, & I'm also hoping to help people like me! :D Post as much as you want, but please try to stay away from the 'obvious' things (bars, pool halls, movies) The further out there, the better! :D |
