Tonight!!! Class.-Saturday September 19th
St. Mercury Prep welcomes all new and returning students to another challenging school year! St. Mercury's is a highly exclusive establishment and all students are reminded to dress accordingly*. Headmistress Hana Solo and Miss Kaosqueen will school the dancefloor, while our cafeteria crew and science department work together to come up with explosive beverage recipes to stimulate body and mind. Remember the school motto: bibo ergo sum. I drink, therefore I am!
Captains of various sporting and recreational clubs will be on hand to recruit new members. New students are encouraged to try out for the Badminton Hooligans or the Brockian Ultra-Cricket League. Go Fighting Shuttlecocks!

Born n raised in the Bronx to Jamaican parents Damion Kyng moved all around the BX (webster, tremont, kingsbrigde...) in and out of various hustles doin his best to help with bills in the house; been writing screenplays, short scripts (high ranking on AMERICAN ZOETROPE), poems n rhymes since thirteen. People round da way who didn't like da flo of hip hop asked Kyng to hop on da mic bout a year ago, his style is uncomparable but if there had to be a comparision many would say OUTKAST (only in that you can always expect something different n entertainin) now he has EIGHT tracks on da SOUNCLICK charts, has music being played on internet radio stations n mixtapes (unsigned hype volume 4 by DJ DESTINY/twisted studios)... reppin da underground MC who will make it based on skillz as opposed to PURCHASED HYPE - expect big things to come...

Some of you have asked me to elaborate on Fifth Column. I have provided the link to our myspace page above, but in case you don't wanna bother with the clicky, so here's an explanation of the night:
Fifth Column is a bi monthly night at the Mercury happening on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.  machine_logic, nightwind23 and I play Electro, Industrial and dance music while people a) drink and play pool, b) drink and dance, c) get drunk and try to navigate their way through origami instructions and various other table activities, d) get exposed to really weird movies while drinking, e) get exposed to really cool music that doesn't really get played often at the Mercury and f) have fun. All for a tiny $4.00 cover. I think that about covers it. Sound like a night you might be into? Well, you're in luck because you can check one out this Sunday! How's that for timing, eh?
